Chapter 10: Hot Gentleman vs Prince Charming

"Mama, can I go out?" I simply ask as she wash the dishes. "Huh?" She stopped her doing just to fully turn to me in curiosity. "Well that's a little unexpected coming from you. Did you caught something interesting in the outside world? You never plan going outside before..." She mention.

"Something came up. I wanna experience the mall..." I answer. "The mall? As in shopping mall?" She guess before I nod. "Shopping for clothes, I knew about that, but I thought your classmates will take care of it? Plus, you have lots of wonderful outfits you haven't tried on here..."

I keep quiet and avoided her gaze before she walk in front of me and slowly lift my chin. "I'm aware of your class summer vacation, but that's by the end of the week. I need your complete and main reason, so I can give you your curfew if you ever return back late. Your home is here in the orphanage after all..."

"I-..." Before I could even give an answer, someone ring the door bell, catching both of us aware. Mama frown and slowly open the door to see a boy I don't familiarize. A faded undercut boy with black hair and green snake eyes. He was wearing a badboy outfit. I admit, he looks pretty dashing and everything, but it takes a lot of effort to make me like someone.

Even mama is confused. "Hi, Y/n-chan!" He wave innocently like he knew me before I can feel mom's gaze burning at the side of my head. I only look at her with a blunt expression before gazing back at the boy. "Your not my classmate and I don't even know your name. You're not from my school either..." I mention before he started laughing.

"Oh sorry! My name's Akashi Benji! Nice to meet you! Hello, Ms. Kozuro~" he introduce that shock mama a bit. Wait- he's an Akashi? Weird, I heard a guy with the same last name... Or maybe I misheard it.

"Oh hello~ What do you want with my daughter?" She ask with her fakest smile that clearly manipulated the stranger to think that she is oblivious. But she's very obvious to me and this guy didn't recognize. My last name isn't even Kozuro.

"Well I wanted to ask for your permission if she can go on a date with me?" He went straight to the point before I spot mama gripping on the door know tightly, still in her best fake smile. "A date? Well then, she's allowed! I always want her to have a future boyfriend!" She said, acting cheerful while pushing my back to Benji.

Let's go?" He said. "Uuum, Benji dear, can you leave us two for a minute?" Mama requested. "Sure, Ms. Kozuro!" He said before he start walking outside the gate. I turn back to mama before seeing her bright aura turn dark. She grab my left shoulder before whispering in my right ear.

"Take care of him... He has a pocket knife attach to his belt. Image this as a part of your training..." she mention before I slowly nod as she return back her bright smile. "Good luck, my dear~ Come back safely, alright?" She said before she plant a mother's peck on my cheeks and shut the door.

I didn't react to it before catching up to this stranger I never knew in my entire life. The whole walk, he was trying to make a conversation with me, but I only stay silent. "Your mom seems nice..."

She isn't...

"You might be wondering where we are going-- Well in the mall, of course! I heard that your summer vacation is coming, so I wanna buy you something as my gift!" He exclaim before dragging me to the mall Rio was talking about.

I only want to visit the mall to check the bookstore. Sheesh...

"No thanks..." I respond as I escape from his grip. "Oh? Well if you don't plan to buy, let's just visit my brother!" He exclaim that leave me in slight astonishment when he show me a familiar bookstore I always visit.

"Ladies first!"

I just roll my eyes as I spot a familiar boy on the counter, reading peacefully as soon as I enter. "Sei-nii! There you are big bro!" The sound of this man's voice echo around the library that cause the boy to shush him after.
