For a whole week since that day, I stayed inside the orphanage and act like the outside world doesn't exist, cursing to myself for being sensitive. His words isn't suppose to hurt me, but it hit something... It really trigger me...
"That was so lame of me..." I complain to my self in disbelief before gazing outside my window as I rest one of my cheeks in my arms. Then my eyes move on the people on the street. Some of them are laughing while others are mad or even sad. Typical emotions. This is why I hate them... It really reveals everyone's true feelings deep inside.
"Y/n? Dear, are you alright?" Mom's soft comforting voice ring in my ears like jingles as I heard my door creeked open, telling me that she entered. I didn't say anything and continue staring outside.
"From how I can tell, you unlocked another emotion, hm? Sadness. I assumed your best friend from the main campus did that?" She guessed. Once again, I just ignore it as I lazily blink once with a poker face expression.
"Just as I thought. Highschool love stories really are full of dramas..."
She blurt before I turn to her. "So you know that I will return them soon... Is that why you stop homeschooling me?" I ask before she smile. "That's what your brother told me. I'm only following his wishes... Not only that, you need that 'the one' who will love you dearly as much as Rei does..." she added before I frown. "No one can replace Rei, mama..."
"Oh really now? Then who is this Itona guy I overheard?"
"He is new in the class... H-He's just like me and Rei in one body..."
"This Karma boy?"
"He is the badboy of the s-school. He's a psychopath..."
"Hmm... Maehara?"
"Playboy... Just like that good-for-nothing ex of mine. Only sweeter, which disgusts me..."
"The boy who brought you home? Let me repeat the name I heard... Isogai, yes?"
"He is the ikēmen of the class... He is too popular with girls and I don't like getting into dramas with his obsessed fangirls..."
"Sugino? The baseball guy you mention one?"
"He is a baseball geek... Nothing more..."
"The blue hair boy? Nagisa, to be precise?"
"Don't bother. He's pretty...-weird. Pretty weird..."
"Well at least with these guys, for the first time, I finally heard you say something about then other than staying silent..." she point out before patted my head for 10 seconds and stood up, facing the opposite direction I was facing.
"Y/n dear, you're not weak to show them... And Sadness is what you hate. One day, they will manage to unlock Love and Joy. So tell me..." she pause before her eyes landed on me.
"Who is this boy you fell in love with that stole your heart?"
"Nobody, mama... My expections are remains unchange until they return everything. I would never act how love is, so recklessly from one mistake..." I spoke before she sigh. She can tell that I haven't grew feelings for anyone yet. I did once, but I forgot about when Rei left me.
"You know... when I was your age, I fell in love to one guy. I don't know where he is, but he is still my first love until today. He is the first one who stay friends with me since high school. Easy or not, I wish I had the chance to show him how much I dear him. Then there's the cliché accident where all those happy ending ends..." she explain that caught my attention.
"To my curiosity, I want to know what happen to this boy of your dreams, mama..." I said before she sigh.
"He's fighting for his life right now, but I doubt that he will even remember me after 6 years... His head made a huge impact from the car rather than his body, but I still visit him whenever I have the time. I even bring some of the kids and treat him as their own papa. He's the only one I have left... I have no one else besides him... So my future is on his life choice. If he will leave, then I'm coming along. That's how scary love is, my child..."
