After school, Joseph and I went to the biggest party in town ran by the popular kids. I looked around in shock and we went inside with loud music blasting on the speakers.

Joseph pecked my lips, "I'm going to grab some drinks. I'll be right back, babe." I nodded and observed the party, "So this is what humans do on the weekends. I wish Mars was like this."

I went behind the bar and made myself a few drinks then inhaled them till there was nothing left in the glass. As as I was about to approach Joseph, I saw him flirting with a few other girls and kissing another one with platinum blonde hair.

I started crying really hard and I grabbed a Solo cup with fruit punch in it and I poured it over the girls' heads then confronted Joseph. Joseph looked at me nervously, "H-hi." The girl he was kissing was wiping fruit punch from her eyes and yelled, "You're fucking crazy!"

Joseph tried calming me down, "Babe, it's not what it looks like!" I glared at him, "It sure as hell is what it looks like. Cheating."

Joseph leaned in to kiss me, until I punched him straight in the face causing blood to go down his nose and lips, "Why don't you go back to Mars? Nobody needs you here. You're just a stupid alien." I scowled at him, "I don't care if I'm "stupid". Any word to describe me is fine, as long as I'm not a lying, cheating asshole like you!" I pushed the girl he kissed against the wall and said aggressively to her, "Back off from him or else you'll deal with much worse."

Joseph glared at me then stormed out of the party, slamming the door aggressively and hardly. I cried even harder and was on my way out the door, until a tall guy with black hair and a beer in his hand approached me, "Are you okay? I go to school with you and I've been observing your relationship with that jerk and I'm very concerned about you." I slowly nodded then looked down, "Yeah, I'm fine. It's just a lot to process." The guy reached his hand out to me, "I'm Anthony. You're Aquafina, right?" I nodded and giggled, "You're very handsome, Anthony."

Anthony smiled at me, "Thank you. I think you're beautiful. You don't even need all that makeup, you know?" I looked down, "I feel like I do. I was bullied on the first day of school." Anthony sighed, "I know you were bullied, I saw. Just don't listen to Joseph or his ex-girlfriend, alright? They're not good people."

I looked down and played with my fingers, "I need to get going. Goodbye, Anthony." I stormed home crying in the rain then went in the bathroom to take all my makeup off. I looked at myself in the mirror, "What does Anthony even see in me? I'm just a stupid alien." Anthony suddenly appeared beside me then wiped the tears off my face, lifting my chin up to look in his eyes, "I don't think you're a stupid alien. I think you're worth more than what you think."

I stepped away from Anthony a tiny bit, "It doesn't feel like it. I don't feel like I'm worth anything. I feel like I'm just a penny." Anthony pulled me closer to him, "Stop bringing yourself down. If I say you're perfect, then you're perfect. Who wouldn't want you? You're everything someone would want in a partner. And so what if you're an alien? That just makes you unique. Are you really going to beat yourself up just because of a mentally unstable jerk? I refuse to let you do that to yourself." I started crying again and we shared a passionate kiss.

Joseph was riding his bike home, until he looked inside the exterior windows of the blonde lady's house and started breaking down in tears, "I guess you're happier without me. And I'm not mentally unstable." He shook his head angrily and pedaled really fast on his bike to his house. Anthony gave me his phone number and smiled at me, "Call me, text me, whatever. I just want to see you smile." He waved goodbye to me and I went outside with him. He got in his car and started it, then looked at me, "By the way, I don't hurt girls. I'm actually mentally stable." He winked and drove off to his house.

I sighed and laid in bed scrolling through my phone and saw Joseph's photos from the party. I hesitated then blocked him on Instagram, crying harder. Blonde lady went in my room and sat on the edge of my bed concerned, "Are you okay? What happened?" I said to her choking on my tears, "Joseph and I broke up." She hugged me tightly and let me cry into her arms, "Awww, Aquafina, you'll find somebody better. Don't stress about it. What do you say about going to the arcade, playing mini golf, and eating ice cream after school for the next few days?" I beamed and nodded to her, "Goodnight, Blonde Lady." She smiled at me and walked towards the door, "Goodnight, Aquafina." She closed the bedroom door and went to bed herself. I felt the left side of the bed and called Anthony quietly, "Can you come over? I'm lonely." Anthony responded back to me in the phone, "I'll be right there."

10 minutes later, Anthony crawled in through my bedroom window and laid down beside me, "Are you okay?" I shook my head and hugged him tightly, "No. I don't know what got into Joseph. I thought he was a very sweet guy, but turns out he was just wearing a mask." Anthony held my hands, "We all wear masks, so don't worry. Your mask is beautiful. Crying doesn't make you less beautiful, it makes you excruciatingly beautiful. I understand if you can't forgive or forget him, but holding a grudge against him forever makes you the jerk. He looked like he felt guilty after what he did at the party, so you can't just assume that he feels no guilt. Goodnight." He closed his eyes and I cried myself to sleep, "Goodnight."
