The grey wall stretched into the long corridors in the maze. Walls covered in vines, some of them stretching all the way up and being so thick you could hide behind them without being seen. Clapping from everyone's shoes hitting the ground with each step as all of you ran in a rather easy speed so all of you would have energy left even after this. As a distraction you in your head sang on the song you'd been singing on erlier to have something other than grievers on your mind.
Newt who was doing his best at keeping up even though his limp noticed your lips moving as if you talked without any sound leaving your mouth. His eyebrows scrunching together as a small smile was placed om his lips.

"You keeping up lizard?" You turned around and looked as Newt came running as fast as he could.
"Lizard? I thought we were over that." He sighed as he catched up to you and you ran slowly beside him.
"Never! I'll never leave that nickname, besides I thought our ex-runner still were in shape" You teased, focusing back on running. Newt shook his head at you a littel.
Even though Minho was far ahead with the rest he could hear you and Newt. It didn't matter that you'd told him that what he'd done wasn't really a priority of yours right now, another quality of yours, letting go of thing easily. But the guilt ove what he'd done was tearing him apart, you hadn't forgiven him either really, and the fact that you didn't wanna give another chance made him even more sad. It was just such a wrong move in his mind right now.

Once you'd gotten deeper into the maze, running past something reminding you of blades you saw Thomas running over to a wall to hide. All of you followed and most of the boys took out their weapons. You started to gather the (h/c) locks of hair that had fallen out your sloppy made ponytail and took it out, redoing the ponytail tighter and making sure no hair was in your eyes. Thomas leaned and peered past the big wall you all were standing by, in the distance where the possible exit were a griever stood, right in front of it Thomas turned back to all of you.

"Is there a griever?" Chuck asked the dark haird boy as he slowly nodded. Many of the boys were now for the first time see a griever clearly as they've elrier only seen them in the dark. Thomas seemed to deliberate all his life decisions. Minho took the small capsule and handed it over to Chuck who stood in front of you.
"You take this Chuck, stand behind us." Minho told him in a determined but grown up kinda tone, like a parent. Poor Chuck looked at the capsule and around at all the taller boys by him.
"It's okey, just stick with me chuckie" You out a hand on his shoulder giving him a reassuring smile.
"Once we get through it'll activate and the door will open. We stay close, we stick together!" Thomas told all of you, you all nodding.
"We get through this, we get out now or we die trying. Ready?" Thomas look over eveyone to see if everyone understood, all of you ahd determined looks to escape and he took that as his yes.
"Alright, LET'S GO!" Thomas shouted an all of you started running. You and Chuck keept to the back, all of the guys screamed and yelled almost as an attempt to scare or grab the grievers attention.

They all aimed at the griever, the griever made itself ready to stung the boys and tear them apart. You saw Chuck being unsure as he ran beside you. Just as you and Chuck went to pass the griever all the boys had been able to push it against the edge, pushing as hard they could to get it of.
But then Chuck stumbled to the ground, hitting the ground. As he did he lost the grip of the capsule, it rolling towards the edge. You turned and saw Chuck crawling as fast he could to get the capsule. You ran after him.
"Chuck!" You called for the curly head. He catched the capsule but was leaning over the edge. He struggled to get up and looked down the abyss. Seeing a griever.
"Oh no" Chuck breathed as the griever closed up on him.
"I got you Chuck!" You told as you grabbed ha hold of him and started to pull.
"Pull me up! Pull me up!" He screamed at you, you did as you were told and dulled with all your mighty strength.
"Come on!" You shoved Chuck a littel to make him start running, he responded by running, the others had just gotten the griever over the edge.
