When Bucky woke you up the next day, bringing coffee to your room and letting you know that you had 40 minutes until you both had to leave for work, you genuinely thought that last night was just a dream. He was acting completely normal, as it never happened. But you sure as hell weren't going to bring it up if he wasn't.
You sat in your bed for the first 15 minutes, sipping your beautifully made coffee and staring into space, thinking about it. You knew you shouldn't be doing anything this soon after breaking up with someone. But Shay was right, you didn't feel much about ending things with Tyler. The last semester of college was such a difficult time that you and Tyler didn't actually spend that much time together, then he was gone for two months before you even moved down. Maybe you had already grown apart by the time you caught him cheating.
But Bucky was...fuck. Being around him was intoxicating, and kissing him was amazing, and last night was...
Incredibly stupid. You groaned, squeezing your eyes shut. You don't know how you let yourself be pulled in by him, to get so caught up in the moment that you let it happen.
But it felt so good.
Bucky knocked on your door, shouting that the shower was free, and you shouted back a thanks. You waited a few minutes, until you were sure he was up on his bed getting his clothes, and ran out of your room into the bathroom.
You showered quickly, got dressed, and made some toast, chomping it down quickly as Bucky came down his steps. He smiled at you, asking if you were ready to go, and then you left the apartment.
He made normal conversation as you walked, and while at first you were freaked out, wondering again if it had all been a dream, you quickly fell back into your comfortable banter with him. Soon enough, you were outside Bucky's shop, telling him you'll meet him outside at the end of the day, and you went to work.
You loved your work, you really did, otherwise you wouldn't have studied it for three years. But because you loved it, your first day whizzed by, and you realised you hadn't thought much about your situation with Bucky. That was, until it was 6pm and you were heading into his shop to pick him up.
"Can I help?" A red haired lady greeted you from the reception desk.
"Hi, I'm here for Bucky." You explained.
"Name?" She asked, looking down at what you assumed was the appointment book.
"Oh, no, I'm his roommate. I'm here cos I thought he was done for the day?"
"Oh! Luka?" You nodded at her question. "Nice to meet you, I'm Raven." She smiled at you and you felt yourself smiling back. She seemed like a very positive person. "He's just finishing up with someone, shouldn't be too much longer."
You thanked her, and folded your arms across your chest as you wandered the lobby, looking up at all the sketches on the wall. You weren't sure how long you had been staring at them, the artistry drawing you in.
"You ever think about getting one?"
You jump slightly at the sudden voice, turning to see Bucky leaning against the doorframe to his studio. Then you laughed, and turned back to the posters. You guessed his client snuck past you while you were staring at the sketches.
"Yeah. Tyler hated them though so I guess I just thought about it less and less." You sighed.
"Tyler's not around anymore." Came his voice from behind you. His deep, gorgeous voice that made your body shiver, and made you want to grab him.
"That's true."
You turned your head to the sound of Raven getting out of her wheely chair.
"If you're done, I'm off. Have fun whatever you decide on." She winked at you, and you weren't completely sure if she was talking about tattoos. You watched her grab her things and head out the front door. Bucky followed her, muttering to her about something before she laughed and disappeared. He closed and locked the door behind her.
