The rest of the night, and even the morning wasn't as uncomfortable as you thought it would be.

Bucky got rid of the condom once he could (quote) 'feel his legs again'. It made you laugh. Then the sight of his ass walking away from you made you stop laughing.

You ended up getting another condom out of the box.

Bucky slept in your bed that night. Thankfully, the sofabed was almost the size of a double bed, so it wasn't claustrophobic. Not that it would have mattered anyway, because you slept tangled up in Bucky the whole time.

In the morning, he made you coffee like he had every other morning. Except this morning involved kisses, something you weren't used to. He kissed you before he handed you your mug. He kissed you when you started getting out of bed. He came behind you when you were putting your mug in the sink, kissing your shoulder and wrapping his arms around your waist.

You were almost late for work after that.

It was your morning break before you realised you hadn't told the girls a thing about the last 24 hours. And the only reason you realised, was because Shay put in the group chat that she needed a new sex toy recommendation because she was bored of her current toy. It led to a conversation about the last time they'd gotten any actual sex, agreeing to go to the sex shop together, and you slipped in that you didn't need to go because you'd been relieved a few hours earlier.

They went absolutely mental. They actually tried video calling you, but you pressed ignore and reminded them that you were actually at work. So you tried to answer their bombarding questions as best as you could, before admitting you needed to talk about this in person and you would see them for drinks tomorrow. You also sent them a picture of your new tattoo, which they loved, and decided to upload it to your instagram.

It felt like the first public declaration that you were living your completely unplanned, new life back in Pasadena. You also tagged Bucky's shop in it, obviously to promote it to your 400 or so followers. A few seconds later, you saw that he liked the picture, and shared it to his shop's page.

At lunchtime, you were grabbing your things out of your locker, thinking about where to get some food, when your phone rang. With all the things in your hands, you just answered it, and tucked it between your ear and your shoulder.

"Hello?" You asked, pulling the rest of your stuff out.

"Luka?"

You froze.

Tyler.

"Luka, are you there?" His slimy voice echoed through the speaker again.

"Uh..yeah. What do you want?" You spat, mentally hitting yourself that you hadn't already blocked his number.

"I..." You heard him sigh on the other end. "I really want to talk to you."

"Fuck off." You scoffed, reaching up to grab your phone and hang up.

"Please? I just want to explain. Look, it's lunch, I'll meet you at the cafe on central?"

You breathed in. That cafe was your safe haven with the girls. The last thing you wanted to do was see him, there. But...you did feel like there was no kind of...closure. You just threw your key at him and left.

Whatever he was going to say wasn't going to change your mind. But maybe what he was going to say would be the difference between holding a grudge and being at peace with leaving him. And you were really hungry for one of their ham and cheese paninis.

"Fine. Ten minutes." You said, pressing the end call button before he could reply. You slammed your locker shut, breathing heavily to yourself, thinking through what you just agreed to.
