After you watched Bucky wrench the cafe door open and storm down the street, you rushed an excuse to leave Tyler, not really caring when he tried to protest. You just grabbed your things, and left as well. You didn't need to talk to Tyler. You didn't want to in the first place. And to be honest, even though he hadn't said much, you knew he didn't feel sorry about it, and that made up your mind that you had made the right decision.
By the time you had gotten outside, Bucky had already disappeared off the street. Clearly he was so upset that he must have ran back to his shop.
You thought about going to the shop, to try and explain why you were at the cafe with Tyler, but you figured that he wouldn't be in the most receptive mind, so you decided to just meet him after work, like you usually did, and explain it then. He couldn't exactly run away; you worked on the same street and lived in the same house.
The afternoon at work went by painfully slowly. Everytime you thought you did loads of jobs, you looked at the clock and it had been 20 minutes.
You practically ran out as soon as the second hand hit 6pm. You slowed to a walk just before the tattoo shop, taking a deep breath and running your hand through your hair before going to open the door.
Except it wouldn't budge.
You pulled again. It just clanged.
It was locked. It was shut.
You went round the back, trying that door as well, but that was locked too.
Either Bucky had finished early, or he just locked the doors and was waiting for you to leave. Both options told you that he was pissed off. If he had finished early, he would have texted you. He hadn't.
And, if he was still pissed at you, you figured that texting him would achieve nothing either, so you just headed home, thinking the whole way.
It's not like you did anything wrong. You weren't on a date with Tyler. You were absolutely not trying to get back together with him. You just sat at a table with him, let him speak, and realised he was absolutely asshat. But you had a feeling that Bucky might not see it that way initially.
You turned your key in your lock, stepping into the flat and shutting the door behind you. You kicked your shoes off, and suddenly felt like a glass of wine. So, you headed to the fridge.
You froze when you saw Bucky leaning against it, his arms folded over his chest, his eyes on you.
"Bucky. I ...I went to the shop-" You started saying, but then he pushed himself off the fridge and walked towards you. You were half scared. And half ...not.
He was honestly a million times the man Tyler was.
"I shut early. Couldn't concentrate." Bucky growled as he stopped in front of you, looking down at you with those piercing eyes that held you at his mercy. "Why were you with him?"
You opened your mouth to answer, but nothing came out. Your throat had completely closed up. You should have been scared, but you honestly could think of nothing else but him taking you there and then. When did you get like this?
"Luka, I will only ask you once, and I expect an honest answer." He said, his voice steady, but unbearably low and sexy. "Why were you with that asshole?"
Hearing him call Tyler that made a laugh huff out of your mouth. You bit your lip to stop anymore when his eyes narrowed. You swallowed.
"He asked to talk to me."
"Why did you agree?"
"We never talked about what happened." Your voice had gone lower. Breathier. Bucky was so close that your brain could barely focus on what to say.
