The rest of the evening passed in a relatively similar manner than yesterday. You used another condom on the sofa, and in the morning, you used a couple more in your bed. You just couldn't keep your hands off each other. And you no longer wanted to.

Tyler wasn't mentioned again. The cafe and lunch wasn't mentioned again. You spent your hours in minimal underwear, tangled in each other's bodies, and laughing. You laughed a lot. You smiled so much that your cheeks were hurting. Bucky had this effect on you. Making you feel completely relaxed. Completely happy.

For the first time since your first day back in Pasadena, and the chaos of finding Tyler with another woman, you actually felt like things were on the right track. You relished in the fact that while it might have been quick, you felt a connection with Bucky that seemed to surpass anything you had felt with Tyler. Yes, you spent almost two years with Tyler, but it was always a bit of effort with him. You had to convince him to go out with you, for dates, to restaurants, weekend trips. He didn't keep in regular contact, and you always had to chase him for updates on when he'd be home. When he was home, the conversation was fine, nice, but it was nothing special.

With Bucky, it was different. He'd already shown you that he enjoyed taking you out, texting you through the day, letting you know if he was gonna be late getting home. His conversation switched from superficial, to deep, to personal, all in the same five minutes. He also told some really bad jokes that you couldn't help but laugh at.

You spent the next few days in your own little world with him, filled with bliss, and the occasional work shift thrown in.

Bucky went to the shower after a particularly energetic morning as you started on a pot of coffee, wearing only boxers and one of his T-shirts. You poured Bucky's cup, poured your own and took a sip. Then someone knocked on the door.

You walked over, mug in hand, and opened the door. There was a woman on the other side. A very familiar woman.

"Hello?" You asked with a slight frown as you tried to place her face. She looked surprised to see you there.

"I'm looking for Bucky." The woman said.

"And you are..."

Then you felt a body behind you.

"Emily? What the hell are you doing here?"

It was the woman that Tyler fucked in your bed.

Your throat closed up.

You watched the woman stand there, staring at you, her mouth moving as if she was speaking, but your ears were thumping loudly and you couldn't hear.

You turned to look behind you, to look at Bucky, who was standing behind you in a towel, his hair wet, his chest wet. His eyebrows were furrowed together, and his mouth was in a tight line as he stared at the woman.

"Sorry who...how do you two know each other?" You finally found your voice to say, pointing between them. Bucky inhaled deeply.

"We dated." He replied robotically. You nodded, then kissed your tongue to your teeth.

"Interesting." You said, and Bucky looked at you. "Very interesting." You looked back at Emily, narrowing your eyes. "But you're not dating anymore, because she's dating some asshole now, aren't you?"

Emily frowned at you.

"I'm sorry, do I know you?" She scoffed, and you shifted your weight onto your hip, and took another sip of coffee.

"Maybe this will jog your memory." You smiled just as innocently back at her. "I found you, screwing my boyfriend, in my house. A couple of weeks ago."
