Third Person POV
Ella looks around the city. Her breathing uneven from running. Her legs tired and sore. Ella leans against a building and takes some deep breaths. Trying to calm her heart. "David knock it off!" Ella hears a familiar voice yell. She jumps up and looks around. Trying to figure out where the voice came from. "It's fine!' A different voice yells back. Ella looks to the right of her. "Please," Ella says as she begins to run towards the voices. She quietly says please more as she runs. Her mind racing as she doesn't know what to think. Her heart pounding harder and harder. And not from running.
Ella hides behind a building and slowly looks out. She sees a ginger-haired man, A blue-haired man. And a person with a maroon jacket on. Their hood up over their head. Ella waits for a minute, silently hoping it is who she hopes it is. "Come on Lucas, Lighten up." The blue-haired man says. "Ughhh, Can we just go!?" Ella hears the other person say. Ella's eyes widen as she realizes who it is. She quickly runs up to the group of three. Not caring about anything but the boy with his hood up.
Ella quickly hugs the person from behind. All three men begin to freak out. Ella turns the boy around and looks at his face. She takes off her hood so he can see her face. "Ella!!" The boy says happily as he quickly hugs the woman. "Lucas, I found you. I can't believe I found you." Ella says happily as she holds her brother tighter to her. Ella slowly lets go of her little brother. Both of them are smiling. "Ummmmmm." Both of the other two men say as they look at the two.
"Oh guys, Umm. Guys this is my big sister Ella. Ella these two are d-" The ginger-haired man cuts Lucas off. "I'm Ben, Ben Dover." "No, He is David and the other one is Leo." Lucas quickly says. So David cant keep talking. "Hello, It is nice to meet you two. Thank you both for taking care of Lucas." Ella says to the two men. "Eh, it's no problem." David says with a shrug. "Wait, I recognize you. Yeah, a few weeks ago you helped me take out a horde of Zombies. Then you ran away." Leo says as he looks at Ella.
"Yeah, your right. Well, fucking hell then. If I had just stayed and talked with you I would have found Lucas a while ago." Ella says with a shake of her head. "Uh David, Ella can come with us right?" Lucas asks, not wanting to leave his sister. "Uhh i mean i don't see why not. But I have some questions first." David says as he looks at Ella. "Sure, ask me whatever you want." Ella tells the ginger-haired man. "Why does your name sound so familiar?" David asks as he squints his eyes.
Ella looks at lucas. "David was a State trooper before the apocalypse." Lucas tells his older sister. "Oh ok... Um My name might sound familiar because I was.... Maybe a little bit... of a... wanted criminal. Because I stole a lot, beat people up. And I hacked into government files." Ella says as she looks at the older man. "Along with some other stuff." Ella says with a small smile as she looks away. "...And how are you related to her again!?" David asks Lucas as he looks at the two with wide eyes. Ella chuckles a little and shakes her head.
"She is my older sister." Lucas says with his own smile. "Did you do anything with her? Like illegal?" Leo asks. "Hell no. Im a fuck up. I know that. But i do not want my brother like me. I have done everything i can to keep Lucas away from all of that. I have taught him to fight a little. And i have taught him how to parcore. That's it." Ella says as she looks at her little brother. "Yep, thats true. I dont know half of the stuff Ella has done." Lucas says with a shrug.
"Okay... Leo a word!" David says loudly as he walks away to talk in private with Leo. Leo walks away with im and Ella smiles sadly at her brother. "If I can't join your group. I want you to stay with them. They may tease you and bully you. But you are safer with two people then just with me. I want you to promise me you will stay with them if i can't come with you." Ella says as she looks into Lucas's eyes. "W-what! No, I'm staying with you no matter what!" Lucas says with wide eyes, fear of losing his sister clear in his eyes.
"Lucas..." Ella grabs his shoulders and makes him look into her eyes. "If i can not come with you. That doesn't mean i will leave you. I will watch over you all and make sure your all safe. We can meet up every once and while. I won't leave you again. But... that means you have to stay safe for me. Okay. You stay with these two and watch each others backs. If i cant come with. I need you to stay with them." Ella says, worry in her eyes for her baby brother.
"...Okay. Promise no matter what you will stay close. I cant lose you." Lucas says tears can be seen in his eyes at the thought of loosing his sister. "Deal."' Ella says with a small smile. She kisses Lucas's head and pulls him in for a hug. Lucas quickly hugs her back. "Okay we made up our mind." David says as him and Leo walk back to the siblings. Lucas lets go of Ella and stands next to her. "What have you two decided on?" Ella asks. Lucas holds on to Ella's arm, in fear she will leave. "We have decided that..."
