Third Person POV
The sun starts to get higher and higher in the sky. Making it get hotter and hotter. Ella knows she needs to get down and to get into a building or under something soon. So Ella carefully stands up and grabs her bag. She walks to the ladder and looks around the building. After making sure she is safe she climbs down the ladder. Ella slowly starts to walk around the building. Being careful to store up energy in case she needs to run. But hoping she doesn't need to run. Not wanting to hurt herself even more.
Ella continues to walk around the town. Being sure to avoid as many zombies as she can. But if she can't avoid them she will take them out quietly. Not using her gun because she doesn't want to draw too much attention to herself. Ella walks to a small gas station to see if there is anything she can use. When she walks up to the doors she knocks on the door. Just in case something is inside they will hear the knock and come to the door. Ella waits a minute and sees two zombies walk out of the open door of the back room.
Ella pulls out one of her katanas and opens the door. She walks inside and quickly kills both the zombies. Ella then walks to the drink fridges. Inside she sees some water. So she quickly grabs all the water and puts all but one in her bag. She opens the one and chugs half of it. After half of it is gone she then drinks the rest normally. She then walks to where the chips are. She grabs a couple bags of chips and opens a small bag. She begins to eat the small bag. Ella walks to the candy aisle. She grabs a couple candy bars.
Because she knows she will need the callores with how much running she does. She then grabs a bunch of granola bars. She puts everything into her bag. Then she walks to the small medication aisle. She grabs all the bandages, pain relievers, and all the other medications that could be useful. Ella walks up to the cash register and grabs all the lighter they have. She looks up and sees all the cigarettes. She bites her lip remembering an old bad habit she used to have. Ella thinks for a minute before she makes her decision.
Ella walks around the counter. She looks sound at all the packs they have. Ella then grabs all the packs of the kind she used to smoke. Which is sadly only three packs. And she doesn't know when she will be able to get more. So she grabs her second favorite pack which has five packs. So she nods her head in content. She opens one of the packs and pulls one out. She then puts the rest in her bag. Ella rolls the cigarette around between her fingers as she looks at it. Ella then pulls out a lighter.
She lights the cigarette and takes a deep inhale of the smoke. Even though it has been almost two years since she last smoked. Her lungs are still used to it. Making it so she doesn't choke or cough. She nods her head, then looks at the back room. The room that the two zombies walked out of earlier. So Ella walks to the room. She looks inside and sees nothing but a couple blankets, two pillows, and three boxes. There is also a window. That Ella can climb out of in case things go bad. And she can't go out the front door.
Ella closes the door to the back room once she walks inside. She also locks the door. In case someone comes in, it makes it so she is somewhat safe. And it makes it so she has time to climb out the window before the person breaks through the door. Or before they pick the lock. Ella sits her bag on the blankets. She then opens one of the boxes. Inside the box is a bunch of magazines. Most of them have pictures of half naked women on them. So Ella rolls her eyes and pushes the box away from her.
She then opens the next box. Inside the second box is a bunch of fire starting kits and some other random survival stuff. So Ella grabs some fire starters and some other survival stuff. She doesn't take everything. Because she wants to leave some for other people. In case once she leaves, someone comes by and walks back here. Or if they come here to hide from other people or zombies. She puts everything she grabbed into her backpack. Ella then stands up and grabs a notebook and pen. She pushes the box away from herself and sits down next to it.
Ella then begins to write on a piece of paper. '-Hello to whomever this is. If you're a good person I hope you survive this. Remember if you are in a life or death situation, do whatever you can to keep yourself safe. Even if that means killing bad people. Inside this box is some survival stuff. They all have instructions on their containers. I hope you stay safe. Sensorily A hopeful stranger.-' Ella then sits the paper on the top of the box. She then goes over to the third and final box. She opens it up. And what is inside shocks her.
Inside the third and final box are a couple knife sharpeners, a bunch of pistol ammo, gun cleaner, and knife cleaner. Ella smirks and grabs all the ammo, two knife sharpeners, some gun and knife cleaner. And puts them all into her backpack. She then pulls out her two guns and some gun cleaner. Ella begins to take apart her guns. After unloading both of them. She starts to clean them both. The sound of the metal calming her. Her leg starts to stop hurting because she isn't putting any pressure on it.
It doesn't take long for Ella to finish cleaning her guns. After they are both clean she then puts them both back together. Ella looks over them both and nods her head. She then takes out all of her knives. Taking out the ones that are even hidden sound her body. Ella cleans both her katanas. After they are clean Ella begins to sharpen both of them. After they are both done then she begins to clean them again. After they are both done she begins to work on the rest of her knives. Ella being careful not to cut herself. And once she is sadicfided with her work she puts all of them away.
Ella looks around the room one last time and sees something shine. Her eyebrows furrow in confusion. Ella moves all the boxes together. She slowly makes her way to the thing she saw shine. She kneels down onto the ground and sees that there is a brick on the wall loose. The brick is missing a piece of tii on the bottom right corner. And there is something silver half way out of it. Ella carefully pulls the brick out of its place. Inside it is a bag with silver beads on the drawstrings. She opens the bag and immediately thinks of her little brother.
