Third Person POV
Ella grabs as many energy drinks as she can. But she still leaves room in her bag for anything else she may need. "Ight boys, let's go. Do you numb skulls not know about how you're not supposed to stay in one place too long. Especially if it is an open place, with broken windows. And in the middle of nowhere. Especially if it is a place people would go to, too get supplies." Ella says with sarcasm in her voice as she stares at the boys. Ritchie smiles a little at her sarcasm and shakes his head.
"Your sarcasm is something I have missed Ella." Ritchie says as he goes to the door to leave the gas station. The rest of the boys follow behind him. "Now let's fuckin go. I don't want to be walking at night. And it looks to be about Midday." Ella says looking up to the sky. Frustrated she can't look at her watch anymore. Seeing as it broke from her hitting it against a tree when she wasn't paying attention. "Now I hope you boys don't get winded. If we want to make it to town by nightfall we will have to go fast." Ella tells the boys.
"I'm glad I don't get winded or tired anymore." Ritchie says, bragging a little. "Lucky, and maybe you should try not to get winded. I also hope you can keep up with us." Xylo says, puffing out his chest. "Trust me Xylo. Ella is one of the few people I expect to be able to outlive the apocalypse. She is not as weak or helpless as she looks like." Ritchie tells Xylo, trying to make Ella stop glaring at the man in a suit. "If we get cornered by zombies, You're the first one I'm throwing to them." Ella tells Xylo, making him swallow hard and fear to enter his eyes.
"I am not afraid to beat your ass." Ella tells Xylo again. "She isn't lying. She will beat the shit out of you. Hell i think even if i am a zombie and I don't feel pain. I still think I would get hurt if Ella was to hit me." RItchie says, not wanting the man to get hurt by the girl who can take down a man three times her size. Xylo shuts up and looks away from Ella. Not liking her eyes on him. Ella smirks. They all begin to walk more. And they all begin to think everything will be ok on their walk to the town that is a couple hours away.
But that is until they are all about four hour into their walk. Ella looks up at the sky. "What time is it?" Ritchie asks the girl, knowing that is what she is checking. Ella looks at Ritchie then back up to the sky. "It is about 3pm. We have been walking for about four or so hours. If nothing stops us we should be in town within the next two hours. But after that we will have another hour or more of a walk to cross town and get to the precinct." Ella tells the boys. Ella now glad for how well she knows the state they all live in.
"Lets just hope we don't run into any problems." Xylo says with a smile. All the sudden Ella stops walking and groans. All the boys turn and look at her. "What's wrong?" Ritchie asks. "Xylo just fucking jinxed us." Ella says with a sigh. "What do you mean?" Xylo asks. "Fucking look." Ella says as she points to the side of them all. The boys look over to where she is pointing. They boy's eyes widen as they all see a horde of about thirty zombies coming out of a bunch of trees.
"Ight, i hope y'all are fast. Because if not. I'm not stopping for you fuckers." Ella says as she gets ready to run. "O-ok we should run" Inmo says with a shaky voice. "Follow me ya fuckers. I know a small short cut. But it's a little dangerous." Ella says as she begins to run. The boys look at eachother. Ritchie is the first to run after Ella. Him trusting her the most. The last three boys look at eachother then back at the zombies that are getting closer to them. "Do y'all wanna die?!?" ELla shouts at them when she looks back.
The boys look at Ella and decide that going with her. To somewhere they don't know, is the best thing to do at the moment. So the three boys run after Ella and Ritchie. Once they catch up to her Ella begins to run again. They all run into a bunch of trees. All the boys get confused and somehow lose Ella. So all four boys stop in a small clearing and look around for the girl who supposedly knows the woods. "Come one fuckers!" Ella yells, making all the boys look over at her. Somehow she is away from where they all thought she was.
The boys look at eachother with confusion. They then shrug and begin to run to where Ella is at. But Ella disappears. "What are you all doing?! Come on!" Ella yells. The boys quickly turn around and they see Ella on the other side of the clearing. "Ella, what is going on? It's like you're teleporting around." Ritchie says to the girl. Ella smirks and walks to the center of the clearing. The boys pause for a second and Ritchie is the first to walk to where Ella is at. Xylo looks at Jax with an exaggerated look. Jax just shrugs and walks after Ritchie. Xylo sighs and follows Jax. and lastly Inmo follows Xylo.
"That was to show you all how confusing and dangerous these woods are. You lose sight of one another and you might as well never make your way out. We are going to walk, calmly through these woods from here on out. Keep me in your eyesight. If you feel as though you will get lost. Tell me. If one of you get lost, STOP walking! Sit down on the ground or lean against a tree. I will come find you. You all listen to me! This forest is nothing to joke about. Many, many people have gotten lost in here and died out here." Ella tells the boys. Her face straight and hard.
"I was a sheriff. I'm pretty sure I could lead us out here." Jax says with his chest puffed out a little. "Don't. Get. Cocky. The majority of the people that have gotten lost and died out here have been cops. The majority of people who can make their way through this forest. Is people like me. People who have been fighting their whole life. And people who have been running from the law. I have made my way through these woods a couple hundred times. Now remember what I said. And lets fucking go." Ella says.
