Pertemis: the new Olympian

Chapter five

Me and the adventurers had spent a few months out in forests, mountains and a bunch of other places all over America, surprisingly, we hadn't had any run ins with the hunters yet, perhaps that's because I may not have told Artemis about my recent shenanigans. But her not knowing was about to change, very quickly.

"Percy!" Jake whisper yelled "those dear over there will feed us for a week, do you want me to shoot them?"

"Go ahead"

Jake fired three arrows in quick succession, leaving no time for the dear to react before they were quickly killed. Strangely two silver arrows were fired at the same time and hit two more dear. I silently cursed too myself and ran with Jake to pick up the dear carcasses that Jake had shot.

At the same time I heard a familiar yell "What the hell!" I recognised the voice as my good friend-

"Jackson! What the hell are you doing and who's this"

"It's nice to see you too, Thalia"

"Answer my question"

"Well, thals to put it simply, I'm an Olympian god and I now have a group thats very similar to the hunters of Artemis"

"Does she know about it"

"She knows I'm a god, not about the group"
I called for the rest of the adventurers to come out, they all did so.

"Artemis, will not be happy about this"

"I know, also where's your camp set up I would like to have a nice godly chat to good old Artemis.

Time skip

Thalia resentfully took us too the hunters camp and I told the adventurers to set up our camp a little way away from the hunters as to not annoy them, though I kept Jake with me since he's the lieutenant of the adventurers.

Artemis left her tent with such a furious rage that her eyes sparkled like a pure silver and diamond ring in the sunlight, I could just get lost in them for hours at a time, what am I thinking, she's a maiden goddess I can't be thinking about that.

She came so close to me I could feel her breath on my face, the that fantasy was broken when she yelled and attacked me like I was some sort of training dummy.

"What the hell is wrong with you!"

"Why are you so angry, arty"

"I'm going to kill you slowly, and I'm going to enjoy it"

"Now now, there's no need for that, the adventurers are setting up camp just over there, if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask" I turned around and walked back to the adventurers with a smug smile on my face, which turned into a laugh when I heard Artemis scream with frustration.

Time skip

We had been plotted near the hunters for a few days now and I feel like some of them are warming up to us, taking a lot of persuasion by Thalia, Artemis however, had hardly left her tent and Thalia said to leave her alone unless I had a death wish (which I was starting to get after the hunters constant bullying, that we never reciprocated by the way)

However the part we'll be focusing on in this story happens one week after we plotted with the hunters.

We started the day by waking up at 7:00 am to Artemis knocking on my tent "wakeupweneedyourhelp"

"What was that" I replied "just a bit slower"

"Ugh, wake up we need your help"

"I'll be out in a minute" I quickly got showered (I thought I saw someone at my door when I got in but I must've imagined it) then got dressed.

I left my tent to see Artemis standing to the left of my door looking incredibly red as if it were some sort of insult to ask us for help "you called, m'lady"

"Don't call me that"

"Ok ok, but seriously what do you need help with"

"We need to traverse that mountain to hunt for food" she pointed to a large mountain west of where I was standing.

"We can help" I responded "how many people should we bring"

"How about, just our lieutenants, well make less noise"

"Ok, Jake! Come over here" Jake jogged towards us

"What's up"

"Me and you are going hunting with Artemis and Thalia" I told him

"Cool!"
