What The Alpha King Wants

Over before it started

Today was a fresh start

Something to look forward to after a long road of darkness.

I ended up waking up late this morning but last night was something I don't know how to feel about.

I mean I didn't see myself dating again for a while with what happened with Michael and basically, my life is still a mess but the last thing I expected was for a mysterious bad boy to show up

Rafael had left before I woke up

He left a note saying he had to take care of something and he'll see me at school

I don't have much experience in the kiss of boy department But last night that kiss, was the best kiss I ever had or ever will have. I felt it all the way down to my toes, if just a simple kiss is like that with him then I wonder what making out is like

I believed and trust him when he said that nothing was going on with Lacey

After taking my shower I throw on my jeans and black hoodie, I left my hair down to dry

I did try not to fall asleep but being in my room was like being close to a fire for some reason. I didn't have any weird dreams which is good but I still don't know why I sleep walked to the lake

I didn't want to make a big deal out of going on one date with Rafael so when he asked did I need a ride to school I turned him down, drawing attention is the last thing I needed

When I got to school, I made my way to English class

"Kind of you to grace us with your presence Raven"

I hate this damn guy

Rafael was already in his seat eyeing me. Lacey on the other hand was giving me the stare of a thousand deaths

Rafael's eyes followed my every move when I went to sit down

Talk about discrete, and my face was not helping the situation as it turned bright red

'Now everyone's final grades are coming out so if any of you need extra credit come to see me after class, Rafael that does include you'

Rafael's head snapped back to the teacher. There was a look exchanged between them before Mr.sim's talked about our new book we'll start

I kept my eyes fixed on my English work so that they would drive up to meet Rafael's gaze.

When class was over it was like a breath of fresh air

Rafael stayed after class to talk to Mr.sims and I went to my free period in the library

It was time to do some research

"Do you have any books about lycans?"

"Lycans?"

"Yes, mythological"

"Yes back row"

I walked to the back row pulling out a lot of lycans books

I spent the next hour reading about the mythology creatures

I don't know why I was so intrigued with them, all I know is that Rafael was hiding something

"What are you reading?" The deep voice whispered in my ear

The shiver that went down my spine was involuntary

I closed my book and turned around to look at Rafael. I know there was no point in trying to hide the books, he probably saw them already

"Nothing, what are you doing here? Don't you have class?"

Rafael looked down at the table before meeting my eyes again with a clenched jaw
