Being bed ridden sucked

I watched out the window as the days came and went with only David and Laura to keep me company

I haven't seen or heard from Rafael.

Even though it gave me time to think and process everything, there was a tiny part of me that missed his presence

I needed to chat with Stacey but it was like Blake was the man in the middle. For some reason he was trying to keep us away from each other.

I was able to get back to my room on the third floor yesterday which was down the hall from Rafael's room but I heard or seen anything

To my avail David gave nothing away about him and his whereabouts. He was like a vault that wouldn't let up.

It was still snowing outside hard. Everything was covered in white. I got the chance to see Christmas lights already being put up in November. Everyone was cheerful

Laura and I went shopping yesterday, which was fun for the most part. Everyone was really nice here. We brought jeans and sweater and makeup which is something I never did even when me and Lacey were friends.

I had a personal big grumpy body guard Sal. He just stood everywhere like a mannequin. Didn't speak until spoken to or didn't move until I moved.

I don't get why I need one but after I insisted I didn't need one, but no one wanted to hear. I believed it was a waste of resources.

Sal's is okay by me. He's quite and minds his business. I consider him my shadow.

I don't know where he finds the time to sleep when he guards my door 24/7.

Right now Mrs.Stone was going on about Thanksgiving plans at the table while we are at breakfast.

"Raven dear, your mother will be coming"

By the look she gave me I guess it wasn't up for discussion

"That's great"

Another family reunion.

"Stacey and Blake are staying until Thanksgiving until they have to head back"

I picked at my pancakes when Stacy and Blake came in. As they sat down at the table someone served them with a plate of food.

"Alright you guys, I have to go find my husband and son. Raven I will talk with you later" Mrs.Stone said eyeing me

What did we need to talk about?

As soon as she left the room there was an uncomfortable silence

"So Raven I heard about the rouge attack"

"Yeah"

"Sorry I haven't been able to check on you sis"

"I get it, you had other things to attend to" I said looking at Blake for the last part

"Are you okay now ?"

"Yeah, it was just my ankle but it'll heal quick"

Blake stuffed his face with eggs and pancakes like a hungry man

"So Blake, who is handling pack stuff while you are here?"

"Well I have a Beta who handles stuff when I can't"

Rafael walked in the kitchen as coo as a cucumber
