That dream that I had was so realistic. The hand mark on my arm was still there.

I have been hiding it under my sweaters for the last few days. It only seemed to be getting worse. There was a dull pain that shoot up my arm every time I moved it.

"Raven it's your turn" David said

David and I were playing another game of chess before lunch

He has been keeping me company for the last few days while everyone else have been avoiding me. I haven't seen nor spoken to Rafael since the other day. He made his point simple and clear.

I was mad at David first for telling Rafael about our bet and conversation but I get it, Rafael was his Alpha and soon to be King and he was his Beta and couldn't keep secrets from him especially ones that involved me and my safety.

This was one of the reasons I didn't tell anyone about the dream or hand mark. I didn't want them going back and telling Rafael.My guess was Rafael didn't know anything about it since he haven't came to talk to me. He didn't know anything and I would like to keep it that way.

I made my move taking on of David's pieces

My mind kept going back to the strange guy and Stacey

David was the only person at this point I could get answers from

"David, what are the chances of a werewolf having a human mate?"

His face contorted

"That's a random question" He throw off the look with a small smile

He shrugged his shoulders looking at the chess pieces figuring out his next move

"Well it isn't unheard of. Take for example you are mated to an Alpha Lycan King that is unheard of and has never happened before, where as a werewolf and a human is somewhat common"

"What about if it was a Alpha Werewolf?"

"Emmm that makes it more slightly uncommon but it does happen"

I nodded my head focusing back on the game

"What makes you so interested In this all of a sudden?"

"Well if I'm going to be staying here i would like to learn a little history"

He raised an eyebrow as if he didn't believe me

"What?"

"Raven I highly doubt you would just roll over"

"Well it's not rolling over, it's excepting my fate"

"Raven if I believe that then I would be in more trouble than you"

I shrugged my shoulders passively causing teeth to clench as I calmly processed the pain radiating from my arm

"Raven are you okay?"

"Yes just tired"

Could that dream mean that Stacey have survived the car crash?

"Okay Mother I'll be ready" Rafael's snippy voice came in through the living room

He walked in with his mother casually talking about some event for everyone to attend

My body was on edge of his presence as if every hair on my body stood on end, every cell in my bien pressed to be closer to him

David seem to be aware chuckling shaking his head

"You know your both are as stubborn as mules. Your both making it harder on yourselves in the long run"
