Part 9

"Good morning."

James said walking in with a banana. He sat down and begin eating.

"Are you ok padfoot?"

Sirius had been up the whole night before so he was exhausted.

"Yea just super tired."

James was about to reply, then Remus walked in the common room to the table they were sitting at. He stretched and yawned.

"Morning."

He said passing the table.

"Well, I was gonna ask why your tired."

Sirius looked around. Configurating his lie.

"Just thinking."

He said slowly.

"About?"

"Oh nothing important."

No way would he tell him what he was actually thinking.

"Um... I should get going i got class early today."

James knew that was a lie.

"Ok."

Sirius left. James was confused why he didn't wanna talk. He usually comes to him no problem. Then Lily came infront of the table. James didn't notice because he was starring off.

"Hey James. You alright?"

James snapped back into reality.

"What Lil?"

"I asked if your alright."

James nodded.

"I'm just confused about something."

James said looking away.

"Well do you want me to help you figure it out."

She said sitting at the table.

"Um... Well Sirius said he was up all night, when i asked him why he said he was thinking. I asked about what and he said it was nothing important, then said he had an early class. Which i know is a lie. So why would he lie? He usually tells me everything."

Lily listened and thought.

"Well maybe he has a crush on someone you don't like. My mom said that if you can't sleep then it means someone is thinking of you. So maybe it can work the other way."

James nodded.

"That makes sense, but there are only a few people in this school i wouldn't be ok with him liking."

"Who?"

"Well you and Bellatrix, and Snape. Because she is insane and ew i think they are related. And you well because I'm in love with."

Lily blushed.

"Nice chat James. Gonna go to breakfast."

Lily said getting up and leaving. James sat there thinking. After classes was over for the day the marauders sat in their dorm. Reading, writing, studying. Sirius laid with his head dangling off the bed messing with a pencil. Remus kept almost falling asleep.

"Why are you so tired Moony?"

"Oh just didn't sleep so much last night."

He said rubbing his eyes.

"You know Lily told me that not getting any sleep means someone is thinking of you."

Sirius suddenly fell off the bed. He quickly jumped up fixed his shirt and cleared his throat.

"Maybe you both should get some sleep."

James joked making Peter laugh.

"Uh yep. I think i will."

Said Sirius quickly getting in his bed and pulling the curtain shut. The three marauders looked at each other. Sirius couldn't stop thinking about Remus. About holding his hand, about hugging him, about having Remus' arm around his shoulder or that one time when Remus put his arm around his waist as he slipped. He couldn't stop thinking about Remus and he couldn't figure out why. He thought of Remus' face, his hands, his scars, his lips. Then it hit him. He was in love with Remus Lupin. Fuck what the hell do i do now he thought. The next day he decided he needed to talk to someone about this. He couldn't tell Remus that he was in love with him. He decided he would tell him he was in love with a boy just not specify.
Remus was sitting in the library with the rest of the boys. He wondered why Sirius was so on edge. He was very shaky and kept picking at his nails.

"I need to ask Lily out. I haven't today. Any of you seen her today?"

James asked.

"I think she said something about going for a walk out by the water."

Remus said hoping he could talk to Sirius.

"Ok well I'm gonna go see her anyone wanna come with?"

James said looking around the table. Sirius looked at the homework infront he pretending not to hear him. Remus shook his head, Peter stood up with James, and Sirius didn't respond.

"Pads?"

"Huh? Oh no i should finish this."

James raised a brow then left with Peter. After a couple minutes Remus said something.

"Are you ok Padfoot?"

Remus said extending his arm and grabbing Sirius' hand. Sirius quickly looked at their hands.

"Perfectly fine. Why?"

"It's just you seem... I don't know kinda out of it."

"Can we go to the dorm?"

"Um ok."

They gathered their things and went to the room. They sat their things down, Remus sat on his bed he tapped next to him.

"Sit."

Sirius sat next to him staring at the floor. Again picking at his fingers. Remus noticed and grabbed his hands.

"What is it Sirius. Talk to me."

Sirius took a big gulp.

"I think in love with a guy."

Remus smiled.

"Ok well i think im in love with a guy too."

Sirius looked at him.

"Really?"

Remus nodded.

"As a matter of fact. You know him quite well."

Sirius thought for a second. Was it him he was thinking of or was it one of the other Marauders.

"Is it James? Or Peter."

Remus let out a little laugh.

"No... It's... The guy i am in love with is you."

Sirius smiled.

"Me too. I mean i am in love with you too. Not i love me too."

Remus smiled.

"Can i kiss you?"

Sirius asked holding one of Remus' hands. Remus cupped Sirius' face and leaned in. He let their lips meet. He felt Sirius smile into the kiss.
