Y/N's POV

My sudden and quiet apology made their ears perk up as they turned to look in my direction. All of their expressions resembled to that of kicked and lost puppies. The innocence and softness of their faces made a heavy wave of guilt wash over my heart. All of them were about to lose their lives because my suicidal expedition and even after that they were looking at me such tender gazes. Why?

"Umm- I'm sorry but now onwards we would go our separate ways. It is my responsibility to find that flower not yours. I cannot afford to lose any of you on this life ending mission. Please you guys need to go back to Marilag and I will continue the journey by myself"

I slowly casted my gaze on the uncomfortably silent and stiff figures of the boys. Their emotionless eyes and clenched jaws made me again lower my head and continue staring at the ground.

" Have you lost your bloody mind Y/N?! Is this all a joke to you! Huh? Do you really think that we agreed to come on this trip without keeping all the threats and misfortunes in our freaking minds?! I failed to protect you once....I failed to keep you safe back in Forks and  I'm NOT GONNA LET THAT HAPPEN AGAIN!! Did you get that?! Jesus Christ!~"
Harry's dangerously deep and fuming voice made a wave a terror wash over my stubborn heart.

"I didn't want to do this but you guys have left me with no choice but to-" My words were cut off by yet another deep and rageful voice.

"But what noona! Huh? Why can't you understand that we cannot leave in the middle of this death trap just because you asked us to! You may more stronger and more powerful than us......we may have acted like fools out there but that doesn't mean we cannot be by your side and be the safe shoulder you can lean on. Do you think Hyungs would done that? Do you think they would have left you here all alone? No. Absolutely not."
Yeonjun's furious words felt painful to my ears.

"We know you are capable of handling yourself but even if is selfish. Even if we are being selfish. For our satisfaction...let us be your side. I promise we would try our best and not act like clumsy idiots. Noona jaebal~ try to understand! We care about you....you our family! And there is no way we can leave you all alone!" Kai's soft words made a wa feeling spread through my chest.

I wanted to be convinced by them. I wanted them to be by my side....but that was not possible.
If they continued to be with me on this suicidal trip they were surely gonna get hurt. And the most stupid thing is that they wouldn't blame me for it. They would let themselves become one with the elements of mother earth without any sour memory or grudge in their innocent hearts. It would be too selfish of me to make them suffer like that.........and I wasn't selfish.
