Their were Orcs on either side of us. They were running towards is, weapons drawn, bellowing battle days as they trapped us in the mountain. I pulled out my bow, and mocked an arrow. Then, I let out a breath and fired, killing the first Orc in the pass. Míreth stood beside me, and Tauriel and Gandalf stood behind us, facing the other way. We started to shoot the seemingly never-ending mob of Orcs. Then, I realized something - Arnos wasn't there.
Putting that thought aside, I reached for my daggers. In one swipe, I cut the head off the Orc in front of me. We all just went on a killing frenzy as the never-ending army of Orcs assaulted us. The battle seemed to go on forever. Then, a sack was placed over my head, and something hit me in the back of the head, and then, nothing.

I woke up in a dark, musty room. I guess the bag had been taken off. I felt a bump blooming on the back of my head, which was still throbbing. I tried to touch it, but my hands were tied to a post behind me. I looked around the room, which looked like a cave. I saw my other companions, all except for Arnos. Míreth and Tauriel were tied up, hanging from their arms. Gandalf was tied up like me, except I saw him reaching for his staff, which was only feet away.
As I looked for an entrance, I saw a man walk out of the shadows. No, it was an elf. He was carrying s torch, and once my eyes adjusted, I saw his face.
"Arnos!" I yelled out, but all that came out was a muffled cry. I was gagged. I knew what was going on.
"What?" Arnos said, "You found out you couldn't trust me, but it was too late? You want to kill me? To save your precious girlfriends?" he sneered, looking at Míreth and Tauriel. I was in pure shock. He had betrayed us. He had been working with the Orcs, with the Ring, with Sauron.
He held up a knife and undid my gag. He motioned to Tauriel and Míreth. "Choose now. Which one will you save? Which one will you kill? You have to the count of five, and if you don't choose, they both die!" Arnos must be joking. How does he expect me to choose. "Five," he counted. Maybe I should go with Tauriel? "Four." No, Míreth. "Three." How could I choose? "Two." This is impossible! "One," he finished, then walked to Míreth, who was closest to him. "Now, watch them both die!" Arnos sneered. He walked behind Míreth, who was struggling wildly. Then, he put the dagger to her throat.
Suddenly, a white flash of light, and the knife was thrown across the room. He stepped back, and looked around, but then Gandalf shot another flash of white light, and Arnos went flying into the wall of the stone cave. Gandalf summoned the knife, and undid his ties, then walked over to me. I found one of my daggers, and ran to Míreth, who was sobbing uncontrollably. I undid he ties, and she fell limply into my arms, crying into my chest.
"Shhhh," I soothed, "It's alright now. You're safe." I held her up after hugging her for a moment, and she stood shakily on her feet. Gandalf had already cut Tauriel down, and she was crying into his shoulder.
When Míreth had calmed down a bit, she said, "Go to her. She loves you. She needs you right now." Shocked by her words, I stood there silently for a second, glancing hesitantly at Tauriel. Then, I walked over to her, and she ran crying into my arms.
"I thought we were both dead," she sobbed, "I thought you didn't love either of us. I thought-"
I cut her off, saying, "I love you both, alright? As much as it pains me to say it, I couldn't choose between you two. I can't imagine living without you. But we're fine now, let's get out of here and get to Rivendell." She looked a little taken aback by my harsh words, and I hugged here tighter for a second, then let go, seeing as she wasn't crying any longer.
I walked over to Gandalf. "Thank you, for everything. Again, I owe you. But now, what shall we do?"
Gandalf thought for a moment. Then, he said, "We shall fight our way out of here."
I smiled, and so did Míreth and Tauriel. I went over to where Arnos had fallen, and slit his throat, making sure he couldn't betray us again while we were gone. Then, Gandalf leading the way, we left the cave, determined to reach our goal.
There were tunnels beaching off everywhere, but Gandalf figured out a way. He guided us through the caves, and, after pausing at each fork in the road, we made it out. But, one thing we didn't expect. The amount of Orcs at the surface.
There were hundreds of them, but at least this time, we wouldn't be captured, only killed, if we were to fail. We fought Orc after Orc, until we finally got out of that place, and there were only about fifty of them left. We would have killed them all, but seeing as we were weak and hungry, we decided to leave them.
We walked in silence, following Gandalf as he showed us the way to the mountains again. We had lost a few days worth of walking, seeing as we were delayed by Orcs, then getting captured by Arnos, who we thought was our friend, then finding the way out again, and then fighting more Orcs at the entrance of the cave. Needless to say, not one of the best days I've ever had.
By the time we reached the mountains, two days had passed. Just looking at them made me nervous. The last time I had passed through them, I could have died, along with the rest of my group. After pausing to start a fire, we ate Lembas bread and drank quite a bit of water. We were all dehydrated. After drinking our fill, we went payed out our beds, and Gandalf kept watch. He was the one that this whole incident seemed to affect the least.
After thinking about how I almost lost the ones I loved, and about how Arnos had betrayed us, I finally drifted off into an uneasy sleep, filled with nightmares and the cries of the two elleths I loved the most.
