"Well... do we really need to find Seph?" Natalie asked, unsure, her perfect black-brown hair still untouched, despite the chaos.
"I guess... I mean, it's not fair to leave someone behind." I said.
"Well...okay, but who's going to go search?" Natalie looked around. All of us did NOT want to go out there again. The school had become deadly silent, as if it was holding it's breath in, waiting for the right moment to let it all out. Ominous thumping came from above, a distant screech of metal. We didn't know what was going to happen next. Footsteps sounded outside and we had no idea who it was. Then, the door swung open to reveal Persephone, who's face was bloody. She had a bite mark on her arm.
"That solves it." Natalie said. We all nodded.
"I'm ba- oh hi Eve!" She gleefully said.
"Hi." I replied.
"Nice to meet you, where you've been?" She begun singing 'blank space' by Taylor Swift. I sighed and walked away while she followed me.
"How'd you find us?" Annabeth asked.
"You guys are making a racket." She replied.
"Crap. That means the animatronics are going to find us easier." I said and quietly shut the door. A little... too late. Clucking and squawking sounds started echoing through the hall. Natalie dived for the cameras and brought up the one that showed the hallway. Old chica was thumping towards us, beak covered with blood. I won't go into any more detail. Her head slowly turned towards the camera, staring right at us.
"Oh s-" Natalie was cut short from Chica suddenly disappearing from the camera. We immediately checked the one next to it. Chica stood there, arms outstretched and peering into the camera again. Oh, and she was right outside the door. Everyone remained silent. Clucking came closer. Everyone remained silent. Then the dreaded mobile phone made a notification noise. Everyone looked at the source of the noise before a giant BOOM! Hit the door. Old chica might not have hands, but she definitely has a head. Annabeth still had the mangle head on her, so she should be fine, but the rest of us tried to hide behind desks. An unsuccessful venture. BOOM! I realised if we didn't open the door, chica was going to bust it in and goodbye weak protection. In a split second decision I decided to open the door. As the door swung open I hid behind it as chica tried to get thought the door. She was a little too tall.
"Olivia! Match!" Fiona said. Olivia struck a match and placed it on chica's frabric costume. A loud squawk erupted from Chica as her costumed burst into flames. However, it only burnt the costume off. The endoskeleton began to stagger in.
"We're screwed!" I said as I heard a shout from the hallway.
"Lyn! Get your ass in here!" Seph yells. For the first time since the "apocalypse " started, she looked scared. Chica's endoskeleton head turned towards the sound.
"Seph?" Lyn asked. Chica began walking towards Lyn.
"Lyn?" Annabeth asked. Chica began walking towards Lyn. I slammed the door closed. We heard squawking as chica followed Lyn.
