A Surprise Visitor

"Oh hey, it's my favorite dance partner."

I stare in horror.

Yang raises an eyebrow, glancing over at me.

"Hm? (Y/N), you know that transfer student?"

Ruby begins to sweat, and her breathing cracks. She's unfortunate enough to be standing right next to me as I ooze a fighting aura.

"(Y/N)... I don't think now is the time for this..." Ruby mumbles.

I notice the discomfort the short girl is experiencing beside me, so I quickly calm myself down as best as possible, resorting to tightly clenching my fists to contain my anger.

"You're Mercury, right? I saw you at the cafe a while back."

Mercury nods, grinning smugly at me.

He's back... He's really here. At my school.

"So kind of you to welcome me to your school! I look forward to sparring with you."

He gets close to me, shaking my hand and whispering into my ear. "Do you really want to be known as the guy that beats up transfer students?" He asks, taunting me.

"I haven't a clue what you're referring to, Mercury my friend. We're here to show you around. How about I take you up on that offer to spar? I could show you how much I've improved." I say, a bright fake smile plastered onto my face.

"I'd love that! I hope you don't mind if I bring some teammates along."

"That's fine with me." I finish, coldly.

The group of four walk past us. Mercury, the man himself... Emerald, the girl that was with him back then... A woman that oozes sensuality, and is supposedly his team's leader, and a very short girl with Heterochromia and matching hair colors.

I quickly grab Ruby by the wrist, speed-walking to our dorm. Once inside, I restrain from slamming the door and face away from my favorite teammate.

"(Y/N)... What do we do? If we attacked them, we'd probably look terrible..."

"——I'm going to talk to Ozpin about this..."

"What?"

"I'm going to speak with professor Ozpin. If I inform him of what we experienced, I'd feel better. Then I'd be able to gauge just how far I can take the practice fights with that bastard..."

My words of spite are all I'm able to do to express how pissed off I am, as I don't wish to break anything, nor scare Ruby.

Ruby sighs once. "I trust you... But can you stay close by? I wouldn't feel right leaving you on your own when we have enemies at the school..."

I nod once. "I will. I also have a precautionary measure I took to at least slightly help you three in the event that something dangerous happens."

"Hm? What's that?"

"Just a new ability I got... I guess it wouldn't hurt to show you."
