Rylee's POV

"Hannah!" I hollered through her house. "We have to be at the airport in an hour!"

She stumbles down the stairs, carrying all of her luggage. I give her a shocked look at the amount of bags in her hands. "What? We don't know how long we're going to be in New York!" She explained.

"Nothing, that's just going to be a looot of extra money." I say while laughing. We head out the door, waiting on her porch for my parents to pick us up.

"Nervous?" She asks me.

"Nervous? Why would I be nervous? This is just a life changing opportunity that I may or may not be able to obtain, and if I don't we will just fly back to Tennessee and life will go back to normal." I ramble.

"Yea... not nervous at all." She laughs.

"Ok, maybe I am, but that's only because this is a big change from little side roles here and there." I sigh. "And, if I get this part I will be in a movie with Tom Holland and Josephine Langford, that is crazy."

"You should probably watch some of their movies and interviews before you meet them ya know. You're going into this not knowing either one of the actors that you will have to act with." She says.

"Well I've seen the After movies, but I'm really not into Marvel. I don't think I can watch a 3 hour movie about something I don't understand." I complain.

"Then watch some of his interviews at least, or ya know he has more movies than just Marvel movies."

I think about what she said for the rest of the time we're waiting on the porch.
My family finally pulls up, waving out the window. My dad climbs out and grabs our bags, putting them in the back as we climb into the van.

"Ryleeeeee! Sit by me sit by me!" My little brother squealed as I climbed to the back of the van, sitting next to my older brother.

"I'm sorry bud, Hannah will sit next to you." I say. I look over to my older brother, Noah, who has on headphones and a blanket. I slap him upside the head, getting no reaction from him.

"Let me sleeep." He complains. I roll my eyes and buckle up as my dad climbs back into the van. Hannah gets settled in the middle row next to my younger brother, Mason.

"You don't travel lightly now do you Hannah?" My dad chuckles.

"I packed everything I needed!" She argues. My dad laughs it off as he starts driving to the airport. I plug in my headphones, listening to my favorite playlist, as Mason plays on his tablet and Hannah falls back asleep. I look up occasionally to see my dad peering back at us smiling. I glare out the back window as we drive to the airport, so many emotions going through me. I zone off for a little bit until I accidentally fall asleep

I wake up later that afternoon to Hannah shaking me awake.

"Cmon cmon cmon!" She screams. "We're at the airport! We're going to New York City!"
I slowly open my eyes, realizing that the van is parked and only me and Hannah still remain in it.

"Where is everyone?" I question while sitting up.

"They already went inside with all of our bags, I was sent back here to wake you up."  She excitedly explains. I unbuckle my seatbelt as we both climb out, walking into the airport. We find my brothers and dad and go through all of our security and preparation. Me and Hannah turn to my dad and brothers, just before boarding our plane.

"I'm going to miss you guys." I say, looking back at my family.

"We're going to miss you more sweetheart, we don't have anything to do in the time you're gone. You will have all these amazing sights and opportunities, I am so happy for you." My dad explains.

"Yea... I am too." Noah claims, a tear dripping down his cheek.

"We are going to go... over here and talk real quick." My dad says as Hannah and Mason follow him.

"Classic dad, leaving us alone to talk." Noah says while looking down at the ground.

"I'm going to be back eventually ya know, and you can always come visit me in New York if I get the part." I say, trying to cheer him up.

"I will. Because you will get the part, I know it." He says as he quickly pulls me into a tight hug. "You're going to do great." He tightens his grip on me as tears slowly drip down my cheeks. When he finally lets go My dad and brother come back, followed quickly by Hannah. I wipe my tears away as my dad pulls me into a hug.
He rubs up and down my back and then let's me go. I turn to Mason, kneeling down as he plays with a toy plane dad bought for him.

"Is this where we say goodbye?" He questions.

"Yes bud, this is where we say goodbye." He quickly wraps his arms around me, squeezing me tight. He let's go and looks at me.

"I'm gonna miss you." He says, bringing more tears to my eyes.

"I'm going to miss you too." I say.

He looks down at the toy plane dad just bought him. "I want you to have this. So you don't forget me." He says.

"Oh Buddy, I will never forget you. I'll be back soon, I promise." I say, still taking his toy plane. He smiles as I stand up.

"Well... Go show those New Yorkers what you're made of Ms. Taylor." My brother jokes. I give him a funny smile and quickly hug them both one more time as me and Hannah turn around, walking onto the plane.

"Bye Hannahhh!" Mason hollers as we walk away. We walk into the plane, quickly finding our seats near the back row and we get settled in.

"Take off is in 5 minutes! Everybody buckle your seatbelts and prepare for the flight." The captain says over the speaker. I grab my neck pillow and headphones out of my carry on and get completely comfortable and ready for takeoff. Hannah does the same but neither of us actually plug our headphones in yet. After a couple minutes we hear one more announcement.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are ready for takeoff. Our prayers go to a safe and smooth flight, all for landing safely in New York?" The pilot says and the whole plane cheers. "And we're off." He says as the plane engines start and we head down the runway.

"This is it, ready for everything to change?" Hannah asks, holding my hand as we takeoff.

"As ready as I can be." I respond as I close my eyes and feel the plane leave the ground.
