Rylee's POV
I wake up the next morning to my bedroom door opening. I roll over to see Tom walking in.
"Good morning luv." He says in a deeper voice than usual.
"Good morning." I say in a quiet voice.
"Are you feeling better today?" He asks as he walks over and sits on my bed. I sit up and brush the hair out of my face.
"mhm."
"That's great." He says, giving me a soft smile. We sit there for a few seconds staring at each other before he speaks again. "Well you better go get a shower, we have to be on set for makeup and clothes and everything in an hour." He says. I glance over at the clock to see that it's 4am. I flop back down on the bed, covering my eyes with my hands. "I know I know, it's too earlyyyy. But this is the life of a movie star, and you've got to get used to it." He says as he grabs my hands and pulls me up. "You're going to do great." He turns around and walks out, closing the door behind him.
I get up and look through my dresser, just finding a pair of simple jeans and a t-shirt. I grab my soap and a towel and head to the downstairs bathroom. I hopped in the shower, quickly checking the time before I got in. It was 4:06, and we had to be there at 5. It takes about 15 minutes to get there from here. So I figure I have about half an hour to get ready.
I finish up my shower in about 15 minutes and get dressed, heading into the kitchen to get some water.
"I would make something for breakfast but we don't have much time." Tom says.
"No need, I'm not really a breakfast person anyway." I say.
"What do you mean by that?"
"I don't normally eat in the morning. It makes me sick."
"Alrighty, but we'll definitely go for lunch if we get enough time today." He says.
"Maybe." I say as I poor myself a glass of water and drink the whole thing. I head back upstairs and throw on some socks and shoes and grab my phone, charger, and my laptop. I head back downstairs completely ready, and see Tom sitting on the couch. "Ready to go." I say.
He quickly turns around and hops off the couch.
"Alrighty then lets go." He says as he grabs his keys off the counter and we head out the front door. He opens the passenger door for me and lets me climb in before closing it, then gets in the driver side. He starts driving off, not saying a word for a little bit. I fiddle with my fingers in my lap, feeling like I was going to throw up. I was so beyond scared I couldn't even begin to think about it.
"Are you ok??" Tom asks me, bringing me out of my thoughts. I look up to see him looking down at my lap. I quickly look down to see my hands shaking. I try to talk when I realize my mouth is super dry.
"Do you uh.. have any water in here?" I ask.
"Yea I'm pretty sure." He says as he reaches into the backseat. He feels around for a few seconds and then brings his hand back upfront with a water bottle in his hand. "Here ya go luv." He says as he hands it to me. I quickly open it up and take a huge drink. "What's going on?" He asks.
"Uhm... just nerves I guess." I lied. I knew it was just my hunger, but I had to wait until I got there and got checked by Dawn and Jovi. And there was no way I was going to tell Tom Holland about my body issues. Tom reaches over, lightly grabbing my hand as he rubs it.
"You're going to do great, I know it, you know it." He says.
"mhm."
"How about we... talk about something else." He says. "So, do you have any siblings? Or friends back where you live?"
"mhm... yea. I have a little brother Mason, he's 4 years old. And an older brother Noah, he's 25. But he's more like a very overprotective best friend, we've always gotten along well." I say.
"Sounds pretty great. How bout your mom or dad?"
"uhm... my mom passed away 2 years ago..." I say.
"Oh my God. Rylee I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to bring something like that up on a day like this." He says. "I feel so bad, I'm so so sorry."
"Tom, it's ok. I don't have that much trouble talking about it." I say.
"Ok good." He says. We sit in silence for a couple of seconds as he continues driving.
"It's just me, my dad, and 2 brothers." I say.
"So living with us boys isn't that big of a change?" Tom chuckles.
"Pretty much." I say. We talk for the rest of the ride over, but the only thing I could think about was how weak I felt. It was much worse than yesterday, I almost felt like I was going to pass out. Finally we pull up to the set of the movie and both climb out. As soon as I stand up I get instantly more dizzy.
"Has Quin printed out your pass yet?" Tom asks me.
"Nope, but he sent me a virtual one so it's fine." I say. We walk up to the building, quickly getting through the security.
"So you will go meet up with your dresser and designer, they will get your clothes ready and lead you to your trailer alright." Tom says.
"mhm." I say, trying to collect myself.
"So your dresser and designer should be in the room that you've been assigned to, which is shared with some other people, which is why you get ready in your trailer. So you just go down that hall." He says as he points down a hallway. "And you look for their names on the door and just head in." he explains.
"Alright, that's easy enough." I say.
"Ok, well I'll see ya later, I got to get to my trailer." He says as he walks away. I take in a deep breath and walk down the hallway looking for a door that says Dawn and Jovi. I finally find it and walk in. No one realizes that I had walked in because it was a huge room and there were people everywhere getting their clothes and talking. I look around and quickly find Dawn and Jovi.
"Taylor! There you are. Ok, so you are filming 6 scenes today. 5 of which you are wearing the same outfit. So here that outfit is." Jovi says as she hands me a garment bag. "And this one is for the 6th scene you film." She says, handing me another bag. "And you're all set, now you just go find your trailer and Makeup and Hair will be there soon." She says.
"As long as you lost all of the weight you were supposed to." Dawn says.
"I did." I say, almost letting a tear fall down my face.
"See, I told you that you could." Dawn says.
"Now go! And good luck." Jovi says. I head out and around the back of the building, looking through the trailers until I found one that had my name on the door.
"Rylee Taylor. That's me." I say as I open the door. I walk in to see wooden floors, with a decent sized vanity against one of the walls. It had a huge mirror with lights around it. I walk towards the back where there was a bed and a small bathroom. On the other end of the trailer was a cloud dupe couch that could seat at least 4 people, it was pretty big. I also found a little closet where I hung up my garment bags. It was much different from Tom's trailer that I had been in yesterday.
I walk over to the couch and lay down, waiting for my make up and hair dresser. About 10 minutes had gone by and no one had come in.
All of a sudden I feel a sickness in my stomach. I quickly jump up and run to the toilet and immediately get sick. It hurt so bad considering all that I had in my stomach was water. My stomach hurt so bad that once I finally finished I just sat there on the floor crying. This was supposed to be my day, but I just felt like shit. I flush the toilet and get up, walking over to my mirror. I quickly wipe my face of tears and try to collect myself. My makeup artist would be here soon and I had to be ready, but just staring at myself in the mirror made it worse. I look at my reflection, not very happy at what I saw.
I fell down in the chair in front of my vanity, covering my face with my hands. I couldn't do this, it's too much. Why could I ever think I was good enough for a role like this.
