Chapter Eleven

~

"It's normal to be nervous right?" I talk to myself as I pace around my bedroom on a Tuesday morning at seven.
"Everyone's gonna be watching me," I fret, "and I just know it's gonna be awkward and- shit everyone's gonna be watching us!" I freak myself out again and groan a bit.

Twenty minutes until school.

Or should I say, twenty minutes until hell.

I had everything packed. All my school stuff, I had my uniform on, hair curled because I woke up an hour earlier.
The only thing that wasn't ready was my mind.

I swear it's a train wreck. I'm panicking.

"Y/n! You need to leave!" Maya calls from the kitchen where she was munching on some banana bread she baked last night.
"I know!" I yell and grab my backpack from the bed.

"It's just one day. It'll be over before I even know it."
I've repeated that saying at least 200 times today in hope that one time I'll actually believe it.

I just gotta get in the damn car and start driving for fucks sake.

Quickly, I run up the stairs and slam open the front door. I don't need breakfast. I'm not even hungry.

"Wait y/n! Don't you want food?" I heard Maya call out once again as I started trudging down the driveway to my car, leaving the door open.
"No thanks!" I call back.

I just have to start. If I walk around all day and think, I'll never even make it to school.

But honestly I'd like that more.

~

Deep breath. It's just one day.
That's probably the millionth time I've said that.

But I mean it this time. I'm sitting in my car, staring out the window at the falling snow, and contemplating all my life decisions.

I'm gonna have to explain to my friends why I'm suddenly faking dating Louis. Because I told them I said no... oh dear god.

Enough thinking. Let's go.

I force myself out of the car, slamming the door open and hopping outside.

I'm gonna fucking shit my pants.

With each step taken closer to the entrance I get more and more nervous.

And then I walk inside.

"Y/n!" I hear a familiar and kinda voice call out to me.
"Noah..." I sigh a little with a faint smile. How do I tell them?

Gaten looked over to me as well, that same little iconic smile of his (you know what I'm talking about right?).

They always look so happy to see me. It makes all my worry wash away.

"I'm back," one last voice comes around from his locker. Finn's dark hair bounced in front of his eyes while he adjusted his backpack strap on his shoulder.
