JULIET'S POINT OF VIEW
As Travis left our house, I immediately turned to my mother.
"Mother, why did you told Travis to come here anytime?" I asked in confusion as she began walking towards the kitchen.
"Why not?" Julia asked then I sighed and started walking behind her.
"No offense, it was very unusual of you to say those words to a boy like him." I replied.
"Travis is a very nice guy and also polite, Juliet. I think you two would be a good match." She said then she winked at me.
"Mother, I know he is very nice and polite, but why out of all boys, why him?" I asked as I sat down.
"What do you mean, 'why out of all boys, why him'?" She asked in confusion.
"Remember my old friend, Ryan? You told me after he left the house that you don't like him and I shouldn't be going out with guys and when you said guys, you meant all guys." I said.
"Well, times change. Besides, you two seemed getting along together." She said as she smirked then she sat down as I grabbed plate and a utensil.
"Mother, what I know for now is we are just friends. But, it was weird because he asked me minutes before you came to my room, if the meeting tomorrow will be a date." I said as I sliced 1/8 of the pie.
"Well? What did you replied?" She asked as I started eating the pie.
"I didn't had the chance to answer, besides, if I am going to be honest, I like someone else." I replied then she gasped.
"I, for sure, know that you will like him sooner." She said as she started eating a 1/8 slice of the pie.
I sighed then the both of us ate the pie Travis gave to us.
Next day during lunchtime
I finished my lunch in the cafeteria then I started walking around the campus, thinking of what might happen later with me and Travis. Because I am completely zoned out, I bumped into a guy who was reading a book then the both of us fell down to the floor.
"Oh my God, I'm so sorry. I was completely zoned ou-" I said then we both looked up at each other.
It is Romeo, the guy I like ever since, but who has no idea I like him. His hair is messy, and he is wearing a white polo shirt with dark brown slacks.
"No, my apologies, Juliet. I should've stop my habit, reading a book while walking." Romeo chuckled as we both stood up then I chuckled back.
"Do you have any chance on seeing Travis around?" He asked then I looked around.
"Uh no, I haven't." I replied.
"No worries, Juliet. I'll look for him." He said then he started walking.
"By the way, what book are you reading?" I asked as I stopped him from walking.
"Um, it's called Mystical Rose, one of my favorite books of all time. I've read this book for the sixth time already." He said as he showed me the book.
"I think I've read that book before, how many book series did this book have? " I asked.
"3 exactly." He replied as he smiled.
"Do you have extra copies of each book by any chance?" I asked as I frowned.
"No, I only had one copy for each book ever since." He replied then I sighed.
"But, you can borrow mine if you want to." He said then I smiled.
"You must be kidding." I said as I smiled back.
