Jungkook had absolutely no idea what he was supposed to bring to a picnic, he couldn't even remember if he ever went on one. He sat down on his bed furiously flipping through page after page in a random recipe book he found at a pharmacy. Everything looked way too complicated and he wasn't confident enough in his cooking skills to choose a recipe. An overwhelming feeling of regret washed over him as he reached the last page of the recipe book. Nothing. There was absolutely nothing he could bring. He sighed before pulling out his phone and calling the one person he knew who could possibly help him.
"Jungkook? Why are you calling randomly?" Jin's voice spoke from the other line and Jungkook quickly explained the situation to him.
"I messed up. Taehyung wanted to have a picnic and he suggested we make our own food and I agreed. And not only did I agree, but I assured him that it would be the best food he's ever had. I'm an idiot. Why would I say that?" The other line remained silent before a heavy sigh.
"You are an idiot. You and I both know you can't cook. Why would you say that?"
"I was just being overly confident. Please help me."
"Fine, come over to my house and I'll help you make something."
When they had finished cooking Jungkook thanked Jin profusely. By the time it was almost time for Jungkook's date they had managed to make enough cold sandwiches, salad and grilled chicken for two people.
"Thank you Jin! You're a life-saver!" Jungkook jumped up and down before hugging Jin while Jin jokingly rolled his eyes.
"You owe me something," Jin said while pushing Jungkook out of his house, "Now hurry up, you have a date to get to."
"Wish me luck!"
Jin closed the door with a smile on his face remembering how Taehyung and Jungkook started out. They had come so far and it seemed like things were finally looking up in their relationship.

Jungkook arrived at the park and he could feel the warm sun hitting his exposed arms that were holding two baskets full of food he hoped Taehyung would like. The warm sun and cool spring breeze did nothing to calm his beating heart as it beat against his ribcage in anticipation. This date could change everything between the two of them, for better or worse. In the distance he could see a figure waving their hand at him. They were holding a blanket and basket, but put them down and started walking over to Jungkook. As the figure got closer Jungkook could see that it was Taehyung and he instinctively smiled.
"Hi Taehyung!" Jungkook didn't know why, but he was in a really good mood.
"Hey! Want some help?" Taehyung held his hand out and Jungkook handed him one of his baskets.
"Thank you, let's go over to where you set down your things." Taehyung nodded and they both walked over to a beautiful patch of grass where Taehyung had left his things. He put down the basket he was holding and took his blanket. He laid it neatly on the grass before putting all the baskets on top. He grinned at his handiwork, "Now it's starting to look like a picnic."
Jungkook took off his shoes and sat cross legged on the blanket before taking in a deep breath. "It smells like spring, it's so nice." Taehyung looked over at Jungkook and smiled before settling down next to him.
"You're right it's such a nice day."
Jungkook let out a yawn and laid down on the blanket. Taehyung joined him, "Tired?"
"Sorry, I've had a lot on my mind these days and the sun is making me sleepy," Jungkook said before yawning again and covering his mouth.
Taehyung yawned(because he's not a psychopath) "Wanna talk about it?" Jungkook shook his head.
