(Jungkook's POV)

As I stir the relatively thick batter I start to notice Taehyung has just been at my side looking at me with weird eyes. I try to brush it off and continue to stir the batter, but my curiosity gets the best of me. "Did you forget about the vanilla batter? You haven't touched it." He looks surprised and picks up a whisk on the counter. He looks at me as if to say 'do I have to?' I nod my head, "I can't do everything." He leans back against the counter defeated and begins to stir the batter.

"How come you were so insistent on only eating vanilla?" I ask him, causing me to momentarily pause spinning as I wait expectantly for his answer.

"Hmmm." He thinks it over before answering, "it's kinda hard to explain, but when I have too much chocolate it's like the chocolate flavor is too overwhelming which ruins the whole experience of eating sweets so I usually just avoid it entirely." He looks up at me after finishing and I blush at his gaze.

"I guess that makes sense, it's not for everyone."

"What about you? Why did you decide to make chocolate instead?" as he says this he holds up the bowl containing the gross creamy vanilla batter.

"It's just so bland like I feel like my tastebuds are sleeping whenever I eat vanilla." I shrug my shoulders knowing it's an unpopular opinion.

"Vanilla's not for everyone I guess." He giggles for some inexplicable reason. "Damn we're so different we can't even agree on a flavor."

"You know what they say, opposites attract." In the act of trying to agree with him I accidentally let my feelings slip. I cover my mouth, "That's not what I meant."

He grins staying silent, but is giving me that all too familiar knowing look of his. His eyes seem to stare deep inside like he knows everything about me. I hit him with my wet whisk splattering him with chocolate batter in my desperate attempt to distract him. He jumps back hitting the counter with his back. He opens one eye and looks at me confused.

"What was that for?"

"Ummmm." There is no way I can tell him that I hit him because his stare was too intense; he would laugh at me and take it the wrong way.

"I-I just thought you could try the batter even if it's just a little." Is he gonna believe me?

He thinks for momentarily and relaxes seeming to fall for my lie. "You could have just told me."

"Right sorry."

He licks the bit of batter to the side of his mouth and I can't look away. He notices me staring and just stares back nonchalantly.

"I-I-I'm g-gonna go get a towel!" I announce before bolting out of the room leaving a confused and possibly concerned Taehyung with chocolate batter dripping off his face and on to the floor.

I go to the bathroom and shove some of the paper towels into my pocket before rushing back. When I get back I see that the batter around his mouth is all gone and I lift my brow facing him.

"The batter is actually pretty good." He gives me a thumbs up before taking the scrunched up paper towels from my hand and wiping off the rest of the batter. I suddenly notice how ridiculous he looks, the chocolate batter on his forehead, neck and clothes make him look like a little kid who ate their ice cream sloppily. I make a noise in the back of my throat before laughing whole heartedly at how cute he looks.

"Taehyung you look so sloppy," I say in a weirdly gentle voice. My mind goes on auto pilot as I lick my thumb and wipe off some of the batter that got on his chin. I stop dead in my tracks after I realize what I just did. I back away from him and can't help my face from heating up. He looks dumbfounded at me still trying to process what I did.

"Sorry."

"No, don't be sorry." He's still not looking straight at me and looks confused. I look a little closer and see the slight tinge of pink on his cheeks. He clears his throat seeming to finally regain his composure.

"T-thanks."

"J-jungkook do y-" Taehyung is cut off as we hear a boy screaming 'help' from outside the store. I flash a concerned look at Taehyung and he does the same before we silently agree to go outside. We see a boy outside the bakery. His hands are on his face and he continues to yell before he spots us coming towards him. The slight pause is short lived as he bolts into the nearest alley. He doesn't appear to be hurt, but I didn't want to take that chance and sprint after him. Taehyung follows behind me as we chase the boy down multiple long alleyways.

(3rd POV)

J-Hope

'A good twenty bucks spent' J-Hope thinks to himself.

He walks up to the bakery with a bottle of champagne leisurely while whistling a tune to himself. The evil deed fills him with a sickening joy and an overwhelming excitement. There was a smile plastered across his face he saved solely for moments like these. He finally reaches the bakery entrance and enters. He finds the door to the back door quickly and steps inside feeling the nice cold breeze of the air conditioner just inches away from the messy counter.

On the counter along with flour and various other ingredients were the two batters; one chocolate and the other vanilla. Of course J-Hope would know his future husband's favorite flavor, vanilla. He walked closer to the chocolate batter and sets down his crushed up oxycodone from his pocket. He lifts up the bag and without a second thought dumps the chalky, white powder into the batter. The powder sits atop the batter as if it knew it wasn't meant there. Taking the wet whisk in hand, J-Hope started to whisk the concoction slowly, watching, mesmerized at how it slowly sunk into the batter. Now it looked normal, perfect for Jungkook's consumption.

Putting down the whisk he picks up the champagne from the floor and sets it down on the table. There was no way he could forget the most important part of his plan. He takes out a piece of paper and adjusts his handwriting slightly to match that of Taehyung's friend Ara:

Hiiii Taehyung it's Ara here! Don't tell my boss, but I stole some of his champagne for you and Jungkook to enjoy. Don't tell him just enjoy. I hope you're having a good time with Jungkook. I'm vigorously winking at you right now if you can't tell.

- Love, Ara.

'Perfect' he thinks to himself before leaving as if he was never there.
