You had a way too overprotective brother, Scott. Sometimes you didn't mind his protectiveness. He did his best to keep you out of all the supernatural drama which you were fine with because you wanted to live a normal life.

That was until your senior year began and your fourth grade crush came back. Only Lydia, your best friend, knew that you had a crush on him. But now, he was hot. Total glow up.

Naturally you started crushing on him again.

Theo asked, "Hey Y/n, I've been thinking. Do you wanna go out on a date with me?"

"Scott would kill us both" you said.

"He doesn't have to know"

That was enough. You didn't need anymore convincing. He was hot.

You told him, "Alright. Then yes"

You didn't tell Scott about the date. Or your mom. You lied and said you were going out with Lydia who you did tell the truth to.

You had to hide your relationship from your brother. And Stiles who was like another protective brother to you. Basically everyone just so Scott wouldn't get mad.

Lydia didn't like the idea of lying to her friends but you said it wasn't lying, it was keeping some of the truth hidden. You just hadn't really had a boyfriend before.

It didn't take long for you to realize you were falling for him or more accurately you were falling for who you thought Theo was.

Theo was falling for you too, he just didn't realize it. Going out with you was just part of his plan to earn the pack's trust. He didn't realize it but he did protect you. He cared about you. He made sure you weren't at the wrong place at the wrong time and kept his chimera pack away from you.

Lydia didn't have the guts to tell you that Theo was a bad guy. She didn't want to be the one to break your heart.

But someone had to. Especially after Kira sent him away. Everyone came over to your house. It was a little overwhelming. Scott just thought it'd be better if they were all there to explain it.

You exclaimed, "You did what Kira?!"

Kira answered, "Sent Theo to the skinwalkers and his dead sister"

You said, "That doesn't make any sense. Why? How? What does that even mean? You're not just going to leave him there right? Right?"

"I don't exactly plan on setting him free"

Everyone was lying to you. Theo, Lydia, Scott. They were ally lying to you, keeping secrets. You hated it.

Theo tried to kill Scott and no one thought to tell you. Not even your best friend or your brother or your mom. No one dared to tell you the truth. Theo was just using you and you thought it was real. It wasn't. (At least you thought it was)

You locked yourself in your room with a gallon of your favorite ice cream and a spoon.

Lydia told them, "She's not talking to any of you"

You were barely talking to Lydia. They all lied to you.

"Why?" asked Scott.

Lydia admitted, "She may have had a thing with Theo and she totally gets that he tried to kill you and all. She just needs some time to process"

"She what?" questioned Scott.

Malia said, "In her defense, Theo's really hot"

"Malia!" exclaimed Stiles.

Malia remarked, "What? I'm just saying"

Lydia said, "I never told her he was bad because I didn't want it break her heart and it did seem like he genuinely liked her"

(Time skip)

Months later, you thought you had gotten over everything that happened with Theo. But really you just pushed it all away.

Lydia had you come over to talk at her house. She seemed off. She said it was an emergency. You went there after your shift at the bookstore.

You asked, "What did you want?"

"I need a little help with AP Biology" lied Lydia.

You said, "Lydia, you never need any help with homework. And I take Forensics, not AP Bio. What are you trying to do?"

"Nothing"

"My grades are fine. I'm fine. So what's up with you?" you asked.

Lydia responded, "It's not me"

You said, "Then tell me what is going on?"

"I can't"

You were sick of people keeping things from you. Ever since sophomore year, that's all Scott had been doing.

You told her, "Then I'm leaving"

You left and went home. You noticed Lydia was following you in her car. She tried calling you but you ignored her.

You walked into your house and saw Theo, "What's going on?"

Lydia came in behind you, "I tried"

Theo walked over kissed you. Everyone was confused even though they knew what happened between you two. Theo was still a bad guy and you knew it.

You slapped him, "No"

You couldn't. You just couldn't. You thought that you had gotten passed it but you didn't. Seeing him just brought up all the feelings you pushed deep down.

You ran upstairs and Lydia followed you. You didn't want to talk. Especially not to her.

Lydia asked, "You don't still have feelings for him, do you?"

You were freaking out, "I don't know, Lydia. I don't know. All I know is that I'm graduating high school soon and then I'm going off to DC and doing the whole FBI thing"

"FBI. You've never mentioned that before"

You told her, "It's always been my dream. To be like my dad, save people, protect them. Scott and everyone else just think that they need to protect me like I'm made of glass or something but I'm not. I can handle the truth and I can protect myself"

Lydia said, "We thought you just wanted a normal life"

"I do but you can't always get you want. But what I do deserve is to not be lied to. Not just by Theo, but my family, my friends"

"I thought"

You cut her off ,lI just need some time to think"

You didn't know what to do. Theo being back was just rubbing salt into old wounds.

Lydia came back down and somehow she was left with Theo. Hayden and Liam had to go home. Malia had already left. Scott was in the bathroom.

It was silent. You were Lydia's best friend, basically her sister and Theo hurt you, used you. But they both knew what he did to you was wrong.

Theo broke the silence, "Can you tell her I'm sorry. I never meant to hurt her"

Lydia told him, "Well you did"

"I never lied about how I felt, how I feel about her"

"You've got a long way to go before she even looks at you the same way"

"I know but I'm willing to wait for that. To change for her"

Lydia couldn't tell if Theo was telling the truth or not but she hoped he was for Y/n's sake.
