The first day of sophomore year was the last normal first day Kylie Martin would ever have. It was all because the night before, two boys went looking for a body in the woods and one of them got bit.
Those two boys, Scott and Stiles, were Kylie's closest friends. It had always been the three of them since the fifth grade.
Lydia Martin was not too happy about having to carpool with nerdy cousin, Kylie but it would only be until Kylie got her license.
Kylie remarked to her friends, "The new been what a total of five minutes and she's already having with Lydia and her clique. I've been related to her my whole life and I don't get that privilege"
Stiles said, "It's cause she's hot. Beautiful people herd together"
There was a moment of awkward silence as Stiles realized the implication of his statement. Scott wasn't really listening to his friends. He was more interest in Allison and Lydia.
Stiles told her, "Not that you're not beautiful. You are but like in your own way. I'll shut up now"
She said, "Good because I was about to smack you in the face"
Kylie stayed after school and watched lacrosse tryouts. Scott was better than she had expected. He must have practiced over the summer but Stiles said he didn't.
She knew something was going on with her friend. She just had to wait for him to tell her. She didn't expect for it to be so long.
He acted even stranger at Lydia's party on Friday night. Kylie watched Scott run out and leave. Allison was confused and then Derek approached her.
Kylie found her only friend left at the party, "Stiles. What's going on with Scott? He just left Allison alone"
"He did what?" questioned Stiles.
"I know. Something's up with him and now Derek says he's a friend of Scott and is talking to Allison"
"Um, I'll go check on him. You stay, it's probably better if you do"
Kylie crossed her arms, "Well I would never trust your driving skills"
