The Third Strand//9-1-1 lonestar x Reader

Judd was teaching TK how to drive the truck, y/n tagged along just because she thought it would be funny to see him try

"All right, did you do your walk around?" Judd asked tk as he climbed into the truck

"All compartment doors are secure, and all six tires are at 100 PSI." Tk smiles

"All right, you know what to do, skipper." Judd tells him

"So ignition switch." Tk says

"Mm‐hmm." Judd nods

"And start button." Tk continues but when he clicks the button nothing happens "It's broken."

"So ask yourself, what'd you forget?" Judd asks him

"Battery switch." Tk nods

"Battery switch." Judd smiles

"All right, you got this." Y/n told him

"Battery switch, ignition switch, and start button." Tk clicks the button and the engine revs

"What's next?" Judd asks

"Uh, oil pressure's all good, and here we go." Tk starts to drive but fails as the truck jerks

"Damn it!" Tk hits the wheel

"All right, take a minute." Judd told him "Take a breath and ask yourself, what'd you forget?"

"The point of any of this." Tk sighed

"Well, the point of it is,  you begged me to get your fire specialist certification. You said you wanted a challenge, you recall?" Judd asks

"I'm sorry, Judd, I just-" tk started but couldn't finish

"We got some news last night. And We are a little shook." Y/n finished for him

"Was it bad news?"

"News." Tk sighed

The two stared blankly at their parents gathering the news.

"Wait a minute Your-" y/n tried

"Your pregnant?" TK asks

"That's right" their mom nods

"Isn't it great TK your gonna be a big brother, and y/n your gonna be a big sister"

"I already am a big brother" TK reminded

"Is this even possible" y/n asks

"It's confirmed" she nods

"By science" he adds

"Ooh, damn. So your pops has got some powerful stuff." Judd exclaims

"Really? That's your takeaway?" Y/n looked at him confused

"No, I'm saying it's impressive." He defends "It also goes to show you should always use birth control, 'cause whether you think you can or you can't, you can."

"Yeah, well according to them, they were." Tk sighs

"Ooh, so I'm saying. That's powerful stuff." Judd tells them

"Ugh, all right." Y/n says grossed out

"I understand how you feel though." Judd tells them

"You do?" Tk asks

"You're life it's just been you guys. Right?"Judd says

The two nod at him

"So you were the firstborn and you have had just one sibling since you were like 1" Judd points to tk
