The Third Strand//9-1-1 lonestar x Reader

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐈𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐀 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥

"All units, be advised. Reports of multiple explosions downtown."

"Just keep going." Owen told the people running down the stairs

"Bomb squad en route. Suspect still at large"

"There are reports of casualties on the sixth floor." Owen spoke as the 126 walked up the steps "Four of 'em kids."

"Captain Strand, possible second incendiary device unaccounted for. You are advised to evacuate your team."

"What's the call, Cap?" Y/n questioned

"IC, Strand 126, we're gonna clear the sixth floor before we evacuate." Owen spoke into his radio "Any updates on the second explosive?" Radio static was all they could hear "IC, do you copy?"  Still nothing "Let's go."

"Help! This guy needs help!" A kid yelled our to them

"Sir, can you hear me?" Tommy asked going over "Is this your father?"

"No, I was looking for our mom." The kid answered "I'm with my little sisters."

"Guessing it's a heart attack." tommy told owen

"Okay. Judd, help 'em carry this man down." owen ordered  before facing the kid "Son, what's your name?" 

"Jack." 

"Hey, Jack. You gonna go with them, alright?"

"But my sisters?"

"Where are your sisters?"

"Hiding in the room next door."

"Paul,y/n get in and grab em" owen ordered

"Copy that, Cap."

"TK, Nancy, go with them." tommy told them

they knocked over the thing covering the door and opened the door quickly, suddenly pink powder exploaded covering them with it. they all coughed and batted the powder away

"And you're all dead." the inspecter walked in 

"Oh, man, I don't wanna be dead." Mateo frowned

"I feel like I might not be dead, but just more maimed." nancy shrugged

"Nope, dead."

" Man, that's a cheat." TK sighed at the girl

"Yeah, seriously." paul agreed "That Jack kid told us his sisters were in there."

"You were also told there might be a secondary explosive device."

"That's BS. Cap radioed in and asked about the other bomb and nobody answered." mateo tried

"Now, comm failure is a real issue in these situations. That's why they put it in the drill." owen told them 

"The no-win scenario."

"Yeah, she totally Kobayashi Maru-ed our asses." paul groaned

" Take this to the IC downstairs and let them know that the 126 is out for the rest of the drill." she handed the paper to owen

"For real though, somebody needs to get this Jack kid an agent" y/n told them as they walked away

Laughter and chatter filled the truck the whole way back to the station, Owen sat in the captains chair trying not to loose his temper on his team

"TK, y/n!" Nancy yelled "come over here. We're gonna send a selfie to Marjan."

To walked over as y/n took a double look at her dad before reluctantly walking over to them getting into position
