"You think he's going to come with us?"

All Might rubbed at his temples. He was in his skeleton form, sitting in Nezu's  office. "I don't know. I hope so. We have to take him in for questioning." Nezu sat upright, beady black eyes glaring at the Symbol of Peace.

"We're not taking him in for questioning, Toshinori."

"And why not? He's a villain who kidnapped two children!"

Nezu sat back in his chair. "He isn't a villain."

All Might's eyes widened. "He...he isn't?"

"No."

"How do you know?"

Nezu reached in his desk and pulled out three files and several pictures. "We haven't found much about him, but from the few DNA samples we've taken from one of the cells in the lab, we've managed to figure out his name. Katsuki Bakugou; apparently he went missing when he was four."

Something about what Nezu said struck Toshinori as odd. 'Why does he sound familiar?'"So he was a test subject as well?"

"We're assuming so. There's evidence all over the building. He's been in that place for years."

The skeleton propped his elbows on his knees, thinking. "Does Midoriya know about this?"

"No. Why? Should he?"

"Something's telling me he'd like to know about this boy."

Nezu picked up the phone on his desk, punching in a few numbers before holding it to his ear. "I'll call him to my office. You are excused, Toshinori."

All Might left the office, utterly confused. "Why does he sound so familiar?"

That's when it struck him. The bully of his successor, the tyrant who ruined his favorite student's childhood. That was the boy. All Might's gaze hardened.

'They need to hurry and bring him in,' he thought. 'I'll punish him properly for what he's done.'

Meanwhile, Katsuki's brain was running a mile a minute. He'd lost his job, coincidentally the day after Midnight visited him in his hotel room. Apparently, the teachers managed to convince the principal to let him go, since he was "taunting other students into disrupting classes". That made no sense, since he was only there to serve lunch, but the principal gave in and sent him off with his pay check and an apologetic smile.

"Fuck,"  He cursed under his breath. They wouldn't even let him stay inside the school until his siblings got out. Now, he was sitting on a bench in a park across the street, waiting for the bell that signified the end of the day to ring. "How the hell am I supposed to pay for everything at this point?"

Katsuki, who, obviously, is new to the outside world and thus has no job or school experience, had been denied at every single place he went to an interview for. Pizza shops, cafes, convenience stores, even gas stations didn't want him.

"You're too clueless," they'd said. "You aren't fast enough with your hands."

Which was bullshit because he'd been training his quirks since he escaped, meaning that he had to rely heavily on his hands and thus make them as fast and train his reflexes the best he could. Yeah, he didn't have any experience, so he was a little slow, but what was he supposed to do when an adult comes up to him, so close, too close, ordering him to do things so loudly-

Yeah, he wasn't exactly qualified.

So now he had no hope of getting another job, and had two children he had to feed, clothe and maintain a roof over their heads. He wasn't going to be able to do that himself. He needed...well, he needed help.
