Nezu chuckled as he hung up the phone, taking another sip of tea gracefully. The figure in front of him sat quietly, watching.
"Ah, amazing. I can't tell you how many cups I've had already."
"Nezu, have you handled him?" The figure leaned forward. "Will he leave them alone?"
Said rodent leisurely took a small bite of cookie, immediately sipping after. "Well, I've mentally exhausted him. He'll leave them alone for a bit." He set down his now-empty cup, patting his face with a small napkin. "But I can't simply tell him to stop. Knowing him, he'll find other ways to get what he wants. Just like how he managed to get a quirkless child into a school for future heroes."
"You're right...but you know he's going to do something outrageous. Every time I see the damn bastard, I can always see his gears turning, plotting something. Can we really not stop him?"
"Keigo, I've told you already." Nezu opened up a file and began working on paperwork as he continued to speak. "Toshinori is no ordinary man. Not only is he the number one hero, but he is also a fantastic actor. I can't tell you how many times he pretended to kiss the ground I walked on in exchange for my services." He slammed a stamp on a piece of paper. "Hell, he even came to join me for tea. And he dislikes tea about as much as he does that poor child."
The bird-man ruffled his feathers irritably. "There has to be something we can do. I can't let him ruin them."
"Well, what can you do? Will you beat him for the number one spot? Or maybe you'll just steal his power from him entirely? As long as he holds his position and power, there is nothing we can do. He's incredibly sensitive. If we piss him off enough, he might just turn to the villains."
Hawk's eyes widened. "Would he really go that far?"
"Of course, he would. What do you take him for? He saves people because he likes the flashing lights and income. But if he could gain something even better than what we offer, there is no hope for hero society. It'll be even worse if he gets Midoriya on his side as well. The boy is already taking after him quite a bit."
"But what if we didn't do anything to All Might? What if we simply got the children out of his sight for a while?"
Nezu paused and looked up. "Elaborate."
"What if we just have one of the heroes to take them in? Katsuki is old enough to care for his siblings himself, all he needs is proper housing, training and schooling. If we have one of the teachers take them in for a short while, then we could kill several birds with one stone."
Nezu thought on it for a moment. "That could work. But the child doesn't trust heroes. He wouldn't voluntarily go into the house of one."
"He would, if it was the best and only option."
There was heavy silence as Nezu processed it. All Might couldn't reach them if they were in the grasp of another hero, because that counts as a serious crime. All he could do was try to abuse his power a bit, but even then there would be no proof if Nezu could get rid of it. All Might had connections, no doubt he would pay hefty fees just to destroy one person. Nezu nodded to himself.
"Alright. Call Aizawa and Nemuri here. They're our top candidates." 'They're our only candidates.' "I think this just might work."
Keigo stayed put. "I...I could take them in," he said shyly. "I have space."
Nezu spared him a glance before turning back to his paperwork. "Keigo, don't be ridiculous. You met him once. He doesn't even trust you enough to take your hand. How could you take him in?"
"But..."
"Hush. Aizawa and Nemuri are our best options. You'll be our last resort if it doesn't work out. Understood?"
"...........yeah. I got it."
"Good. Now call them here immediately. We need to get this settled before the man causes an uproar."
Keigo's fists clenched. Nezu was right. He was incompetent. However, he couldn't silence the urge he had to protect the young kid from All Might, even if it meant whisking him away...
But no. He couldn't do that. Because Katsuki was afraid. And so were his siblings.
'Shut up, Keigo. Just do as Nezu said. This is for the best.'
His heart, however, thought otherwise.
MEANWHILE>>>>
Dipsas watched silently as the winged hero left the office. In a cloud of black, he vanished into the wall, placing himself back in Katsuki's mind.
'Interesting...I shouldn't tell the human about this.'
He looked at Katsuki's memories framed around him, the scenes changing every once in a while. He sighed as he placed his hand on one of them.
'After all, he deserves to be happy.'
Here I am again. So the manhwa(s) for today are 'From Today On, I'm A Boy' and 'Miss Not-So Sidekick'. The first one is for anyone who likes wholesome genderbenders (she basically makes a deal with her friend to be a boy until she graduates in exchange for money) and the second one is for those who want something funny, yet interesting.
Those who want some sexy bl to read, I got you. Read 'Love Shuttle' if you want omegaverse and 'Blood Link' for a kind of Twilight feel (but it's better than twilight, I promise. And the sex scenes are just *chefs kiss*).
And for my wonderful yuri readers, read 'Sadistic Beauty: Side Story' and 'Citrus' (this one is a completed manga and is also an anime :D).
You said you liked that I suggested manhwas, so here you go. From now on, I will suggest to you completed manwha in every chapter if you're interested (every manhwa I've suggested so far is completed). Also, yes, this is the third chapter of my mass release (yay!!) so please enjoy it!! I love you all!
