Noya was walking through the halls, when he saw a poster that wasn't there the day before. He ran up to it excitedly as he did with most new posters, as he approached it he saw it was a poster for a school dance. He jumped up, beaming and dancing about with a smile. As Noya left off to class, a new figure took his place in front of the poster, Asahi too, found himself curious about the poster, smiling slightly before going about his day.

Later on in the day, many people bought tickets, Noya being one of the many. As Noya got his ticket he bounded off, with a specific goal at mind.

"Hey Noya!" Asahi said as he saw the younger teen bounding towards him.

"You gonna go to the dance?"

"I would but... uh...the lines are so long"

"Well, I thought on that and bought you a ticket, and don't you dare try and pay me back"

Asahi look downwards tentatively taking the ticket that was held out to him.

"There has to be somthing I could do to make it up to you?"

"Be my date to the dance."

"Huh? Wouldn't you want to go with Kiyoko?"

"Kiyoko already turned me down" Noya said resting his hand on the back of his head looking distinctly to the left.

Later that day, Asahi was frantically running around his room, filing through his closet meticulously. Eventually he stood in front of the mirror satisfied with the results- well atleast close enough to satisfied. He hung up the suit with a sigh, tired from the effort, he layed down dozing off.

-✨the ever so pretty time skip✨-

The lustrous night had begun, as Asahi's car pulled up in the driveway of the Nishinoya household. Noya was already standing outside, waiting, Asahi left his car, adjusting his vest a bit, combing his hair one last time and presented Noya with the corsages, Noya rose up to his toes and placed one on the taller boy before Asahi kneeled down ever so slightly to return the gesture.

"You ready to go?" Asahi stammered with an anxious smile.

Noya bounded towards the car nodding, getting in as Asahi opened the door for him, truly over playing the manners of a gentleman, he carried often.

They entered the building both awaiting what is to come. The strobe lights and loud music startled the gentle giant to witch the excitable boy took notice to, grabbing and squishing the other boy's hand lightly.
They proceeded into the night, and began to enjoy the moment. The music held strong and Noya began to sway, Asahi joiinn in as they smiled at each other and as they loosened up, swaying evolved into dancing. The hyper music faded, and a waltz paced song began.

Asahi took a deep breath and tried to speak.
"H-ey do, do, hey- uhm- wanna dance?"

Noya grabbed the stuttering boy, placing his arms over Asahi's shoulders. Looking away as Asahi responded and placed his hands on the lightning like boy's hips.

"Yu"

"Yeah?"

"Thank you for inviting me, this has been the best night ever"

"Thanks for coming along, though I have to be honest, you were my first and well only choice to ask out to this dance"

"But Kiyoko?"

"I stopped likeing her months ago, I fell for somone else, and I've been helping her to ask out the person she's interested in"

"I see, may I ask who that person is?"

"...it's not obvious to you?"

"No?"

"It would make sense this person would be who I'd ask out, right?"

"Are you implying what I think you are?"

"Yeah, it's you Asahi, of course it is"

"I love you too, Noya"

The slow song winded to the end, and the dance continued. As the two made their way out of the building and headed back to Noya's house. Asahi walked Noya to the door tenderly, "night, Yu" he seid with a voice like sugar, as he leaned down and left a peck on the Yu's nose. "Hey! If you're gonna kiss me, atleast commit to it!" Noya laughs, grabbing Asahi by the collar pulling him into a kiss. "Goodnight, Asahi, be safe on the road"
"I will, I promise, I'll see you later, Yu"
