Asahi often got comments on his hair, the list of comments ranging from 'your hair ruins the point of an attractive face' to 'who could possibly love some butch femboy like you, get a haircut' On the worst of days those were the comments that were eating away at Asahi, that accursed day, was one of the harshest.

When he got home he began to blindly cut away at his hair watching it fall to the floor, his once shoulder length hair now barely reached his chin, he frowned at himself in the mirror he didn't like it, but it had to be done he thought. He avoided looking in the mirrors for the rest of the day, as each time he did that sinking feeling in his heart returned.

The next day he walked into practice, making sure no one thought anything of the new change, but despite his efforts he still felt an intense gaze on him. Noya was well aware his ace did not do that for himself but to appease some judgmental eyes, he heard their words, he was angry, no one could talk bad about his ace and get away with it. He decided to talk to the ace about what he heard.

"Asahi" the giant looked at his small friend as he continued " I heard them talking to you, yesterday, I'm sorry I couldn't do anything " Asahi looked shocked as he replied "it's fine, Noya, they were right any way weren't they? It's not normal and that's why I will never be with the one I love, they are right." Noya looked at Asahi intensely " they weren't right to say those things, and if this person you love is not ok with you having long hair then it's their loss not yours, it I were them, I would be happy to have someone as good as you" Asahi looked down muttering something Noya could barely heard, "What was that Asahi? I couldn't hear you" Asahi repeated a little louder

"well, what if it is you? "

Noya looked shocked "y-you love me?" Asahi nodded slowly getting ready to run away, until Noya grabbed him embracing the gentle giant, "I love you too, Asahi". The two stayed like this just enjoying the warm and accepting embrace of each other.

A very confused Hinata watched before turning to Kageama " why can't we be like that? " before being thrown by kageama, who yelled "cause we aren't a couple, we aren't even friends, boke". The rest of the team were rolling there eyes and exchanging there comments about the couple ranging from 'they are so cute together' to 'finally '.
