The last time I went to church with my family on Easter they announced it was “children’s time” and all the children needed to go to the front, a woman behind me leaned forward and tapped my shoulder, she said, “go on,”. I freaked out, I said “I’m eighteen! I can vote!” And sunk into my seat. I didn’t turn around to look at her again the entire sermon, it was the first time I had been to church in years and I was mistaken for a child.
