Abby finished getting ready on that Saturday evening. She wore the same style of clothing she usually did. The jacket with a hood and some worn jeans with her common vans that she usually wore. She put on one squirt of perfume and figured that was enough to satisfy Sarah into thinking she was trying to have a good time tonight. Abby looked into the mirror at herself, scanning and judging what looked good and what looked bad. She looked pale. Her lips without color and her face without life. It was as if she were sick with a bad flu. She felt a little nervous about tonight. Abby couldn't remember the last time she actually just went out to go hang out somewhere, regardless if it were with Sarah, a boy or even herself.

The doorbell rang and Abby drew her attention away from the mirror. She walked out of her room and went to the door and opened it. It was Sarah.

"Hey love, ready to... You aren't going out like that," Sarah smiled. She grabbed Abby's hand and led her to her room. She sat Abby on the bed and opened her drawers and a small closet where Abby kept her jackets, sweaters, and dresses. She began going through the clothes, throwing a few she didn't like to the floor and few she did like onto the bed. Sarah pulled out a short sleeved white shirt that read, 'For the love of the game' across the front, "How about this one?" Sarah asked. Abby shrugged not caring. Sarah laughed, "Put it on." Abby changed into it and stood at attention to Sarah. She examined her. "Missing something." She pulled out a make up bag and put on eyeliner, lip gloss and bit of blush to liven the face. "Perfect! Look how beautiful you look!" Sarah smiled and faced Abby toward the mirror. Abby examined herself in the mirror. She gently brushed her fingers against her cheeks as if the person in the mirror wasn't actually her.

"What's wrong?" Sarah asked. Abby remained speechless as she stared at the mirror. Sarah came up behind her and hugged her, "Abby, you're beautiful. Don't forget that." Abby patted her arm and nodded to her.

The two went to the mini golf course like Sarah said they were going to go. They walked in and got their wrist bands and explored the place. The inside of the place had a giant arcade and a pizza restaurant. The mini golf course reside outside along with a stand to get your club and golf ball.

"Let's play a few games," Sarah said pulling Abby towards the token machine. She began putting money into the machine as Abby looked around paranoid.

"Sarah, are you sure being here is a good idea?" Abby asked with worry. Sarah looked at Abby in confusion.

"What if Derek is here or what if he's watching me?" Abby asked.

"Listen, he won't hurt you. Not if I'm around. Loosen up," Sarah nudged her. Abby held herself and scanned the arcade.

"I think I'm going to go home." Abby turned to walk away and bumped into someone. A cup of soda flew in the air and spattered all over the floor and soaked the boy's pant leg.

"Oh my god! I'm so sorry!"

"Abby?" It was Nick and Lem.

"Nick.."

"Who's the cutie," Lem asked looking behind the two at Sarah. Sarah smirked.

"I guess, you're going to have to buy me a game and find out." Lem's eyes widened and the challenge was accepted. He patted Nick's shoulder.

"Good luck, I got me a championship to win," Lem said to him and walked away to the nearest air hockey table with Sarah. Nick and Abby looked at each and immediately looked away. The silence overtook the small situation and began to make it hard for one of them to say anything.

"I.." they both said at the same time interrupting each other.

"You first," Nick said.

"I'm sorry about your soda."
