The next three days went by slowly. Lem was a walking corpse of pure anger, resentment and grief. Abby and Nick sat hopeful during those days. Derek seemed to gone silent and Abby hadn't received any threats or any signs of his presence. As peaceful as it was from him, Abby still suffered from the same grief Lem did.  But after the three days, Sarah finally woke up and told them what happened from what she remembered. The one thing she was completely sure of was that Derek Ellis was the attacker.

Sarah seemed fine as in nothing was fatally wounded but she still had to wear a neck brace and had a concussion. The doctor said it'd be a few weeks before she's back to full health. The group were happy and relieved but now that they knew Derek full sure did it, even though there wasn't a doubt of mind, Lem wanted revenge alongside Sarah's father. However, Sarah's father took the proper route and reported the attack to the school and authorities. Derek was expelled from school and a restraining order placed on him from Sarah. Though this satisfied Sarah's dad, this didn't satisfy Lem.

Nick and Abby sat down together at lunch accompanied by Alan.

"Yeah, I heard he got expelled," Alan said throwing his lunch bag on the table. Abby sat at the table with her small backpack in her lap with Nick next to her who had began eating his sandwich. "Imagine how their baseball team is reacting," Alan chuckled.

"Well, at least they won't be a threat to our season. Ring is as good as ours now," Nick shrugged. Abby still remained quiet feeling a bit awkward in the conversation. She knows that in baseball this was a blessing but for her she knows now that Derek could be anywhere at any time.

"Don't worry, Abby," Abby suddenly heard and shook from her thoughts.

"Huh?" She said quickly.

"I said, don't worry about it. Everyone now knows what a crazy guy he is and everyone will protect you from him," Alan said with a smile. Nick nodded.

"You always have me if everyone else doesn't," Nick said swinging his arm around her waist and pulling her closer to him on the bench.

"Oooooooo, that's definitely a kiss quality comment right there, Abby," Alan said sliding across the table so his whole body laid across it. He wore a smirk and it was taunting. He was definitely trying to get them to kiss again.

"Oh I, we... Umm," Abby stumbled. Her face began getting red and she began to panic internally.

Nick let out a huge laugh, "Ohhhh, c'mon Alan. Don't give the poor girl a panic attack." Alan slid back across the lunch table with a groan.

"Maaaaaaaan. I was hoping I could finally get you two the seal the deal with that one. You two should just label it already," Alan groaned and placed his head on the table. The two looked at each other. Now that Alan mentioned it, they realized they never actually asked one another to be in a relationship with one another. It just sort of happened without the words.

"We..." Nick began, "Can talk about that later in private." Abby smiled with relief. Being put on the spot would have been so stressful for her even though deep down she knows what her answer would have been. It's the pressure from people in the room waiting to hear her say it that stresses her out.

"Very diplomatic of you," Alan mumbled into the table. His head shot up, "You guys seen Lem? Thought it was quiet." Nick and Abby shook their head.

"I haven't seen him since Sarah woke up," Abby said.

"I hope he's staying out of trouble," Nick sighed.

"I'm not sure he's capable of doing that when he's mad," Alan said standing up. "I'll go look for him and see if he even came to school today." Alan walked away from the table with his scraps to throw away leaving Abby and Nick alone at the table.
