The fight continued with the three boys and an entire house of Warriors. A bit of blood on the ground here and there but the boys' shirt containing droplets to patches of blood spots. The fight had been going on what seemed like hours but only a matter of minutes as people were grabbing their phones to video tape and others grabbing their phones to call the cops. Nick and Derek exchanged punch for punch without either of them showing any fatigue. Nick had Derek by the collar of his shirt punching as Derek had Nick by his collar of his shirt punching back. It was almost a power struggle as the two pushed each other into counters. Alan was struggling against Benny quite badly seeing that Benny had the advantage over him. He was not only bigger than Alan but stronger as well. Benny was probably stronger than all three of them put together. Maybe not Lem. Lem on the other hand could not be stopped. He used anything and everything around him that he could grab as a weapon against the oncoming horde of Warriors. He was grabbing them, picking them up and throwing them over counters and throwing them into each other. He butted a few of their heads together and even head butted them himself. Lem had taken down nearly five of them. Nick swung Derek into Benny and caused Benny to lose balance long enough to get Alan out of the tight corner he was pinned in. Nick continued to charge Derek, not letting him catch a breath.
"5-0!" A yell from the crowd. The crowd immediately scattered as Nick and Alan would not let Derek and Benny escape. Lem stood with three bodies on the ground in front of him and one lying awkwardly over the counter.
"Where you all going? I'm not finished with you lot!" Lem screamed. The police entered the room swiftly with batons at the ready. They jumped the boys and broke up the fight, handcuffing them all.
All the boys' faces were covered in blood, bruises, and welts from the fight. The police sat all the boys in the cars and took them to the station. Nick sat in between Alan and Lem inside the backseat of the police car. The police didn't say a word to any of them the whole way there. When they arrived at the station, they were escorted to a cell where Derek and Benny were placed in another on the opposite side of the room. Nick's face was bruised and beaten. His eye swollen shut and his cheek looking like he'd been stung many times by a bee. His knuckles, mostly his left hand, were bleeding and purple. Lem took a bit of a beaten as well from fending off as many as he did. His cheek was puffed like Nick's but not as bad and his nose was bled but not much bruising other than his cheek and rib. Alan didn't look well. Alan had a black eye which was swollen shut. His cheek was swollen and his nose, lip and chin were bleeding. His arm was cut slightly from grazing a knife that was left on the counter. Nothing serious.
The three sat in the cell waiting to be bailed out, if their parents wanted to after the fight.
"My nose won't stop bleeding," Alan said wiping his nose with the bottom of his shirt.
"Why do you always pick the big ones?" Lem mocked.
"The same reason you just can't pick one," Alan laughed with his shirt up to his nose. They both laughed at each other. Nick remained quiet as he remained worried about Abby. He felt even worse knowing he was stuck in a cell and couldn't go see her. When she needed him most, he wasn't there. This hurt him even more so, because it reminded him of his father and how he wasn't there for him either on his last day. Even though Nick's eyes began to water, he fought the tears back so Lem and Alan wouldn't noticed. Deep down, he thought he should have known better than going to look for Derek. A real man would have stayed with her until he knew she was alright. He continued to beat himself up about it as the officer roamed into the room holding a cup of coffee.
"Derek Ellis, Benny Halls. Bail paied." Their cell opend and they picked up their things and left.
"Ellis bangs dude," Lem called out as he left. The officer came over and hit his cell telling him to keep quiet. Minutes later the same officer came in and released the three boys. All three of them were lectured harshly by their parents. Mostly Nick. Nick got into his mom's car as she was still yelling at him.
