The Contests Book (previously Do You Want To Win A Review)

March 2015 Challenge - ENDED

Hello, writers known and unknown! Here's your chance to get some feedback on your work and maybe add a few people to your list of followers ;)

March challenge GOAL: write a short story or a one-shot (a one chapter story) on one or any combination of these topics: FRIENDSHIP, LOVE, MAGIC.

HOW TO ENTER? Do these three things (all of them; don't just pick one):

1.       Write "For CatMint5's March contest" in your summary or/and at the top of your first chapter;

2.       Dedicate one chapter to me;

3.       Once your story is completed, come back here and give a link to it in the comments.

*If you don't know how to include a link in a comment, read Ch. 25 of my guidebook The Help Book. If you don't know how to dedicate a chapter and you are using a PC, read Ch. 7 of THB. If you use the wattpad app – I don't think that option is available on it, but there is a way to do it: in Ch. 27 of THB, I explain how to access wattpad features like those on a PC through your phone. I'll post a link to The Help Book in the first comment of this chapter.

PRIZES for the winner:

~ I'll leave a review on the winning story;

~ I'll give two shout-outs of the winning story on my profile (me recommending it to my fans);

~ I'll advertize the winning story in The Contests Book;

~ I'll add the winning story to my reading list Winners;

~ I'll give a review on another story by the winner (the review will be on the first five chapters);

~ I'll give one shout-out of that other story to my profile.

ABOUT YOUR ENTRIES:

~ Due date: March 30, 2015

~ Length: from one word (yes, word) to thirty pages

~ Genres: any you like but I don't get poetry much. I'm not excluding the genre, but it reduces your chances of winning if you write in it (unless your poem is totally awesome)

~ Rating: any from a story suitable for children to mature content

~ The story can be based on real events or completely made up

DON'T POST LINKS OTHER THAN YOUR ENTRY HERE, be it asking for me to read your other stories or advertizing them; the latter is one of the rudest things you could do on wattpad, by the way. If you do this, I'll just delete your comment.

STORIES I WON'T ACCEPT:

~ Stories that are not entered properly (no "For CatMint5's March contest", dedication and link here);

~ Stories that do not qualify as a short story under the wattpad definition (under 30 pages);

~ Stories that were originally written for and won someone else's contest.
