Chapter 3

Blake's POV

I walked in and saw Tess leaning over the toilet forcing herself to throw up. I was so shocked by what I just walked into that I just stood there staring until she got up and started walking into the shower. She still had all her clothes on which confused me, I mean who goes into the shower fully clothed. I started to walk towards the shower to check on her.

"Tess?" I asked

Her whole body froze right when she heard my voice. Without turning around she said

"What are you doing here Blake?"

"Maddy and I were worried about you so we came to look for you." I said honestly

She scoffed and turned around "HA REALLY?! You were worried about me? Where was that worry when I was alone on my birthday and when I was alone with all my terrible thoughts? HUH?! Where was that worry when I had to go through the loss of my favorite grandpa all by myself." she snapped

"Wait what? Your grandpa died??" I asked

"Yep. No one knew. I kept it from everyone. I didn't want anyone's pity." she said angrily

"Tess..you should've told me." I said with pity and sadness in my voice

Her eyebrows furrowed and she yelled "SEE! That right there is why I didn't tell anyone. That pity in your voice is the reason I didn't tell anyone especially you Blake."

"What the hell do you mean especially me?" I said annoyed

"BLAKE! Do you not get it?? YOU LEFT ME!! Not the other way around. YOU. LEFT ME. Why would I tell you that when you obviously wanted nothing to do with me. If I would've told you then you would've thought that I was just using that as a way for you to talk to me again. So NO I didn't tell you." she yelled

I opened my mouth to say something else but she interrupted me before I could.

"No Blake. Don't say anything else. Get out."

"But-" I tried to say

" I said GET OUT. NOW." she yelled again

I looked into her eyes to see if there was anything that indicated that she wanted me to stay and I saw nothing so I turned around and opened the door. It was at that second that Maddy decided to walk right into Tess's room.

"OH GREAT! Let me guess, you were worried too." Tess said to Maddy

"Tess...I'm sorry about what I said." Maddy said to Tess

"Ok. Now leave." Tess said

"Tess, what the hell is wrong with you?" Maddy snapped

"Maddy don't-" I interrupt

"Blake I don't need you to defend me. Maddy, what is wrong with you? I thought you were my friend but you obviously don't give a crap about me or what's going on in my life. I'm always there for you when you need it but I've been struggling since October and you have not asked me about anything I've been going through. I'm sorry if you don't understand why i've snapped at you recently but I need to do it because I'm sick of dealing with this toxic friendship. Now both of you leave." Tess said

"Okay hope to see you soon Tess. Bye" I said

I turned to walk out but I saw Maddy glaring at Tess so I forced her to come out with me. First of all, she's my ride and second, I think Tess needs her space from both of us.

"I had to get you out of there because she needs space from both of us. Plus you are my ride, I need you to drive me back to the church so I can get my truck. Please stay away from Tess for right now okay?" I said

"Okay, whatever. She'll come crawling back to me. Her social life needs me, she wouldn't have any friends if it wasn't for me." she said back

She drove me to the church so I could pick up my truck. Once we get to the church I got into my truck and started heading back to my house. I get to my house and go into my bathroom to brush my teeth and shower, once I'm done with that I get into my bed and start to fall asleep.
