Tess's POV
After all the drama that happened yesterday with Maddy and Blake, I decided to go to the beach and just relax. I got up around 6:30 and decided to get dressed in a red bikini with paper bag jean shorts and a simple white tank top. At the beach I love to go to they have a cute little place with VERY good acai bowls so I got one of those and decided to just spend the day tanning at the beach.
A couple of hours later, I get up from where I'm tanning and walk towards the water. Gosh, I don't understand how anyone can not like the beach, the way the sun sparkles off the water, and the way the sand is so soft is just literally perfect. I stand there admiring the waves and water until I hear a voice call for me.
"Hey, Tess!" the familiar voice called
"Kale? What are you doing here?" I asked Blake's best friend
"Coming to surf obviously. What else would you do at the beach?" he sarcastically asked
"I came to tan." I shrugged
"Well how are you doing T?" he asked
"T? Why are you calling me T?" I asked confusedly
"Well you are my best friend's other best friend so I feel like I should give you a nickname." he told me
"I'm Blake's best friend? Well obviously you two haven't talked about me in a while because he abandoned me." I said annoyed
"Abandoned you? What the hell do you mean? Blake has told me that you guys have been inseparable for months." he asked me with a confused look
"He ghosted me in October.You didn't know?" I told him
"Your birthday month? What the hell? Why wouldn't he tell me?" he asked
"I don't know" I shrugged
"Ok...well I'll leave you alone. Have a great rest of your day!" he said walking away
"You too Kale!" I yelled back
At around 5:00, I arrived back at home and decided to make myself a salad for dinner. I took my dinner into the living room, sat down on the couch and turned on the TV. I started watching Gilmore Girls and started scrolling thrugh my instagram and tiktok. When all of a sudden I got a call from a number I didn't recognize. It was from my area code so I answered.
Hello?-Tess
Hey.-Unknown Person
Who is this?-Tess
Wow, it hasn't even been 24 hours since we last talked and you don't even recognize me.-Unknown
Oh. Now I know. What do you want Blake?-Tess
There ya go. You figured it out.-Blake
I asked what you want.-Tess
I want to know why you talked to Kale today.-Blake
Well I was at the beach and he came up to me and called me a nickname so I started talking to him about the fact that he shouldn't be using a nickname for me especially because you are his best friend and you hate me.-Tess
Number one, what do you mean he called you a nickname? Number two, I don't hate you.-Blake
He called me T. That was it.-Tess
Oh. Well how was the beach?-Blake
Blake, why are you doing this?-Tess
I'm just trying to make conversation.-Blake
Well stop. You made it perfectly clear that we aren't friends anymore.-Tess
Tess...I'm sorry.-Blake
Want to tell me why you ghosted me and abandoned me?-Tess
um-I-uhhh-I can't.-Blake
Then I can't "make conversation" with you. Sorry Blake. Bye.-Tess
And with that I hang up. I check the time and see that it's almost 9:00 so I decide to turn off the TV and head to my room to get ready for bed since I plan to get up early tomorrow. I changed into short booty pajama shorts and a white tank top without a bra underneath. I climb into my bed and go to sleep.
