Chapter Thirty Eight

Ivy's POV

I was lying in bed still in pain. It has been a few days since I lost my baby girl. The next day when I was wake Sam told me the results of my tests. It made me happy knowing it was Ben that would have been the father but it also pissed me off. I know Ben and me are on good terms for now but I am still mad about him cheating on me. Anyways it was sometime at night and Sam just came back in the room. Smiley told her to cut back on the pain pills the other day so I'm taking about half of what I was taking. She gave me the pills and my melon powerade. I took the pills and washed them down.

"How's things with Jeff?" I asked. I wanted to talk before the meds kick in.

"We are now talking without me yelling. We're starting over at one again. We're just friends for now and see where it goes from there. How about you and Ben?"

"Talking terms. We're back at being friends again too." I slightly smile and shrug. Soon my meds kick in and I'm out like a light.

(Two weeks later)

I'm now able to get out of bed and everything but I have to take it easy. Dad called Sam and me into his office. I knocked on the door hearing him say come in. We enter his office and sit in the chairs.

"Why are you girls still refusing to go on missions with Ben and Jeff?"

"Well, first off dad they cheated on us. Second how are we suppose to work with someone we can't trust?" He sighs rubbing his temples.

"Ivy I have to tell you girls something."

"What is it Slendy?" Sam asked.

"Ben and Jeff didn't cheat on purpose. I nudged them to."

"What do you mean by 'nudged'?" I asked.

"I used black magic on them and cursed them. The spell caused them to cheat and then when busted lose the feelings they gained." My eyes widened.

"You cursed Ben and Jeff so we'd break up with them?! Why would you do this?!" I yelled.

"I just wanted what's best for you girls. Sam's like my daughter now, I'm looking out for both of you."

"Dad even if your plan worked I wouldn't be able to move on. Sam would, I wouldn't. I'm already mated to Ben. Mom told me how the Ender thing works when I was young. Once mated you can't get another unless they die. Ben's not dead, I wouldn't have been able to move on."

"And I didn't know she told you."

"Slender, we can make our own choices. You don't have to look out for us." Sam says.

"I see that now after how the plan turned out." We was dismissed and Sam ran downstairs. I went to my room to rest. 'Should I take Ben back?' I asked myself. I took just one of my pain pills. Where dad put that new fucking stress on me I started to hurt. I let the pill take effect and went to sleep.

(Next night)

I wait until dad and everyone was asleep before sneaking out. I teleported to Uncle Trender's mansion. I knocked on the door and it opened showing Dark Link. He moved in with Uncle Trender.

"Ivy? What are you doing here?"

"I needed someone to talk to. I usually talk to Sam but she's sleeping and the only other people our my uncles." Dark let's me in before closing the door behind me.

"Guys we got company!" He yelled. We walked to the kitchen seeing Offender, Trender, Splendy, Nina, Alice, Clocky, Jane, Painter, and Puppet at the table. They were playing cards.

"Ivy!" Splendy cheered picking me up with his tentacle. He brought me to him hugging me.

"Long time no see Ivy. Where've you been?" Nina asked. She is like one of my best girl friends. I haven't been able to hang with any of my friends here cause of where I was pregnant and then the miscarriage.

"Long story short, bed bound the last about three weeks high on pain pills."

"What happened?" Puppet asked.

"I had a miscarriage and Smiley had to keep me on pain pills to cut back on the pain."

"Sorry Ivy." Painter said. Offender was now holding me hugging me.

"So, what are you doing here so late?" Dark asked.

"Pissed off at dad."

"What'd he do this time?" Trender asked.

"Apparently he cursed Ben and Jeff to cheat on Sam and me. He literally just told us yesterday." Offender chuckles a little.

"What ya gonna do about Ben since you've been keeping him away?"

"I don't know. I still love him."

"I know I'm gonna regret saying this in front of the others but fuck it. Ivy try to make things up with Ben. You two were good together. Plus I haven't seen you this depressed since you was ten after your mother died. Tomorrow talk to Ben. If brother doesn't agree fuck him. He just doesn't want to see his baby girl grow up but you already have." I smile at my uncle.

"Thanks Offendy." I hug him before he sits me in a chair.

"No problem Ivy. Now, if you guys start about how I just acted I will force you to take a rose." He grinned. I chuckled.

"What you planning on doing now Ivy?" Jane asked.

"Well, everyone's already asleep back home. So I'm gonna hang here. Haven't seen you guys in awhile."

"True, why didn't you come around?" Clocky asked.

"Smiley didn't want me leaving the mansion in case anything happened with the baby. Dad agreed so I was only allowed in the yard." She said awe. They continued there hand and when it ended they dealt me in. We played cards until about five and then everyone started going to bed. They all hugged me before going upstairs.

"See ya later Ivy." Nina said. I teleported home leaving my uncles and Dark awake. I stayed up thinking about what to say to Ben.
