chapter 36: Reunion

"Oh, so her ability is actually a barrier with a mud-like substance? I see that's why you had to hit her that way. " [Botan]

"Yes, entering the barrier slowly makes it penetrable but when you hit her with a fast blow the force is negated completely."[Edge]

Botan laughs happily and asks another question

"HAHAHAHAHA how did you find that out? Besides that are you sure she'll be fine?" [Botan]

"I healed her using Calli's ability, shes stabilized for now but I might need to carry her out of the forest to make sure she's safe."[Edge]

"Calli's ability? Do you mean the Reaper's? "[Botan]

"Speaking of which did you saw her in these woods!!?" [Edge]

"No clue, I saw a black-haired woman walking around in these woods 3 days ago. I wanted to follow her but my instincts told me not to move as I saw her pass by." [Botan]

"Yeah I believe that's her.." [Edge]

"Huh? why are the two of you separated?" [Botan]

"She wanted to find the way into the elven kingdom so she went ahead before me." [Edge]

"Hmm..."[Botan]

Botan went into deep thinking. I carefully observe my surroundings to find myself currently in a house and from the window, I could see trees and rows of other houses.

"Is outside-" [Edge]

"Real?"[Botan]

Botan smiled and nodded her head.

"This area could be said to be an independent real-world. Hard to see this all started as a dimensional pocket." [Botan]

"What?!" [Edge]

"HAHAHAHAHA! You didn't hear me wrong all right."[Botan]

Suddenly an alarm went off and Botan's wall opened up to reveal an arsenal of weapons. She took out a rifle, she aims towards the door white prone on the ground. At the same time, the windows of the room broke and a team of trained marksmen entered the room and assembled to form a line of fire aiming towards the main entrance. They were all tensed up but what happened next was beyond their expectation.

*Ding Dong...*

"I think that could be Calli?" [Edge]

".... Okay, move the girl away and open the door carefully."[Botan]

I gently open the door...

"Took you long enough you little shit." [Calli]

"Calli!! " [Edge]

I hugged her immediately and she seems to be stunned on the spot.

"It's just a false alarm, DISPERSE!" [Botan]

"YES MA'AM!" [SSRB squadron]

I released her from my hug and asked her about the entrance into the elf kingdom.

"Did you found it?"[Edge]

"Yes I've found the entrance into the Elf Kingdom"[Calli]

Botan claps her hands and celebrated in joy.

"Yay, let's end this war then." [Botan]

"We just need to extract the package and both sides have no more reason to continue this farce"[Botan]

"I have managed to locate her but I sensed you're entering the forest when I was about to separate the skill." [Calli]

"Besides that, Calli could you patch her up before we continue?"[Edge]

I pointed at Noel who is currently lying on the floor.

Calli released a dark substance that covered the part where I injured her just as I did and within a few seconds she retracted her hand along with the substance.

"She's good now, Now tell me why did you come here. You're supposed to wait weren't you." [Calli]

"Why did you try to work alone by separating the ability on your own? Aren't we a team?" [Edge]

It's nighttime and noel wakes up from her slumber. She could only see a ceiling on top of her. She could feel that she is currently on a couch.

"I see you're finally awake, you were battered up by that kid over there." [Botan]

Botan points at me who is sitting at a distance facing away from Calli

"And you're?"[Noel]

"Shishiro Botan pleasure to be your acquaintance, lady of steel."[Botan]

"First Beast God?" [Noel]

Noel gets up and bowed down to her.

"Don't be so formal with me, it'll make me blush."[Botan]

"So mind telling me what's wrong with him" [Noel]

Noel looks at me who is sulking in the corner of the room.

"Just a small fight between parent and child haha" [Botan]

"That means she's... Death?" [Noel]

"Indeed"[Botan]

Noel looked at her features from the couch

"I see.., she's definitely pretty." [Noel]

"She is, an everlasting beauty"[Botan]

"Did I hurt the boy?"[Noel]

"Not even a scratch"[Botan]

"I'm both relieved and frustrated at the same time." [Noel]

"Don't be, you're still young, you have unlimited potential, believe in yourself."[Botan]

"To think i could be so easily convinced, i can see the flaw of his arguments now" [Noel]

"Don't push yourself now we can sort everything out later"[Botan]

Calli started muttering curses at a fast pace under her breath.

"She's awake, we can get some dinner and talk afterward shall we?" [Botan]
