(I would recommend listening to the song while reading)
"ShhHh, hehe," Claire shushed in between giggles while we tip toed to a big empty room with large windows. We walked into the room and Claire closed the door.
I asked, "What is this place, princess?"
"Okay, so you know how I'm amazing at dancing." Claire said.
"Sure." I responded.
"Soooo, I was taught in this room. It was the only time this room was used. After the teaching was done this place was useless." Explained Claire.
"That's great! We can use this to Waltz then?" I asked.
Claire scoffed and said, "Obviously."
"Without music?" I asked.
"No, there's a Gramophone back here, Arthur." Claire replied, pointing to a big old Gramophone in the back. Gramophone:
Claire ran to the Gramophone and wound it up. They did so for a minute and the music started. It was the same waltz that played the first night we met: Masquerade Suite, Waltz I, by Aram Khachaturian.
"Quickly! Quickly! It's only gonna play for a minute and a half and then I'll have to wind it up again!" Claire shouted, not caring if anyone could hear her. They grabbed my hand and pulled to to the middle of the room. I quickly put my hands on her waist and she put here's on my shoulders.
"I have no idea what to do now." I said. I was just following what Claire did.
"I'll teach you the basic waltz." Said Claire, "First, put both feet together. Left foot forwards, then right foot forwards but to the right. Lastly, put you left foot next to your right. And then you just repeat that backwards, or you can keep doing it forwards." I clumsily followed her directions, but ended up stepping on her feet.
"Sorry! Sorry. I'll try to not step on you feet." I said.
"It's fine, honestly, you stepped more on my feet the first time. There's progress." Claire responded. We were still dancing, but there was about 30 seconds left.
"Princess, was that a compliment?" I asked, smirking.
"NO, I was just simply stating a fact." Claire said.
"We already French kissed, Claire," I joked, "you can tell me anything." Claire blushed and looked away. As we waltzed she stepped on my foot.
"Pay back!" Claire said, snickering. I laughed with her. The music stopped, but we were still dancing.
"The first time we danced together was magical." I said as I finally got the steps correct.
"That sounds so clique." Claire replied, "But I agree."
"May I kiss you again, M'lady?" I asked. Claire pulled me to her lips. We stopped dancing. I've never been more in love with someone, BUT of course I can't say anything. Since she's the princess and I'm just some rando peasant. I knew that when this was over, me and Claire would probably never do something like that again. She would have to get back with DaRrEn.
God, I wish this night would never end.
