Hands were connected. But he couldn't feel the warmth. He looked at him. But he was looking away from the other. Looking around made him dizzy somehow. Where even was he? He saw escalators. People walking around with bags from bath and body works and FYE. A mall. He was at a mall. Wait but how did he get there?

"Oh, can we go get some sweets?" The mysterious man asked. He still couldn't see his face.

"Sure," he could hear himself say, and they started walking in a diagonal direction. There was a store lined with wonderful shades of blue and pink. Cotton candy. That's what it reminded him of. They entered the shop and he breathed in, but he didn't smell anything.

"Try this," he looked over to see a couple. The woman was wearing a purple baggy shirt tucked into some jeans and calf-high brown boots with black laces. The man was wearing a black and white striped shirt with "evolution" written on the front in bright red. Matched with some jeans and white sneakers.

He looked back forward when they stopped walking, being asked what they would like, and the man he didn't recognize replied with a question on if they could just taste samples of some of the treats which the worker said was alright, so that's what they did.

He glanced at the clock. Two thirty-two. As they looked around, he noted some things. A man started having a sneezing fit and one of his friends walked with him out of the store. There was a family. And the parents were trying to calm their kids down from fighting. There was also a girl that ran in, seemingly distressed as she went up to the counter.

He didn't really know how long it was before he looked up at the clock again, two fifty-six? Where did the time go? How had they been there so long? And when did they get back to the counter? Where was that girl from a moment ago? Something didn't feel right. Which was weird because he couldn't feel anything. Now that he thought about it, why couldn't he see anyone's faces? How did everyone have their faces blocked at the same time?

A scream. There was a scream. Holy shit, that was a gunshot. He whipped around right in time to catch the mysterious man as another gunshot rang through his ears. He fell with the mysterious man in his arms, noting the wound in the man's stomach. Another gunshot.

He bolted upright. His mouth was extremely dry, he felt like coughing. What the hell was wrong with him? He stood, walking out of his bedroom and into the kitchen. His house wasn't too big but it wasn't too small either. The front door was a chiffon white, the walls being a latte tan. He was lucky to have been given permission to paint his room, three walls being a currant red, while one wall was painted a slightly darker shade.

After getting a drink of water he sighed, something about that dream felt so real, what the hell did I just dream? He tried to shake off the nightmare he just had, but something about it made him uneasy. He took a couple of deep breaths as he spoke softly to himself, "it was just a dream." But that so-called "dream" was just way too damn realistic.

With a sigh, he looked at the clock, 10:34 a.m. Well, no wonder he was tired, he never gets up that early. He usually slept for another hour at least. With one more sigh, he traveled back to his room to grab his phone, seeing a text from his work partner, Changbin.

He and Changbin worked at a restaurant and bar. Kind of like an Applebee's. It was Changbin's parents so the place was called "Seo's." The text the other sent said something about how he needed the older to come in a bit early since they were going to be training someone new. He messaged the younger boy, asking what time he should come in to which Changbin replied with "noon is best."
