MENTIONS OF BLOOD
(it is mentioned periodically throughout)

Seungmin sat staring at the wall of the waiting room. his face neutral, but tears still falling from his eyes. He knew the others were on the way, his phone blowing up, but he was unable to look at it.

He kept replaying the past hour over and over in his head. It was like playing a good song on repeat, but this was definitely not a good song that he wanted to keep listening to. The lyrics didn't match the music. The notes were all wrong. Nothing made sense.

"Chris, what was-" he froze, watching the crimson dying Chan's light colored shirt. He froze for a second before his brain screamed at him, do something! So he scrambled to sit up, not thinking twice before pressing against the source of the crimson metallic smell that had begun to fill his senses.

"Ouch," Chan hissed in pain.

"What is happening oh my god," Seungmin mumbled.

"I think...I was shot," Chan muttered with a light chuckle before hissing in pain again.

"Why...you pulled me away Chan, what happened?" Seungmin asked.

"I think..." Chan trailed off for a second, trying to move only to stop, it hurt too bad, "Seungmin, it burns."

"Don't move," Seungmin replied in a whisper, "it was like you knew."

"I...what?" Chan asked, "oh, my dream."

"Your dream?" Seungmin shifting, pressing harder as he tried not to look at his hands that were being covered in blood.

"Yeah I...I was feeling deja vu? And somehow it popped into my head so I swapped us, even if it had been nothing." Chan explained, and Seungmin's eyes widened as he realized more blood would pour out when Chan talked. He saw it forming underneath the boy too.

He heard sounds from outside the shop and saw people crouched down, hugging others as they prayed for everything to stop. But people were also staring at him.

"I'll be fine," Chan said, "don't worry about me."

"Chan, I need you to stop talking now, okay?" Seungmin said, pressing harder on the older's abdomen. He kept trying to tell himself, "this is a dream, this isn't happening. Please this can't be happening."

"I'm okay," Chan whispered.

"Stop talking," Seungmin whispered back. Chan nodded as he let his head fall back against the floor.

"Hey," Seungmin looked over at a woman across the store from him, "use your jacket."

For some reason he noted her bright purple shirt as he nodded, quickly taking off his jacket to press it against Chan's wound. He hadn't realized he was crying until he saw and felt a droplet on his arm. Looking down as he sniffed.

"Seungmin, I'll be fine," Chan said, looking up at the ceiling

"Chris, shut up," Seungmin replied.
