Navaheya lay in the plush bed, the sun streaking through the balcony in her room. She pushed herself to the edge of her bed, her think white nightdress covered her pale skinny figure. The silver-haired she-elf removed herself from the sheets and walked onto the balcony, the slight breeze blowing her unstyled hair slightly. She placed her hands on the balcony railing and watched the beautiful city below her room. Not many elves were awake and out of bed at the time she was most mornings, giving her the peace that she needed to think. Turning around, she made her way back to the bed. Navaheya pulled the sheets and covers back to where they were before she had gotten into the bed the night before and fluffing her pillows, making the bed look like it had never slept in the night prior.
Navaheya then made her way to the bathroom attached to her room. She took the comb out of a drawer below the washbasin and brushed through her silver locks. She placed the wooden comb back into the drawer before braiding two sections of her hair that hung down in front of her straight hair. After exiting the bathroom, she opened one of the wardrobes on the wall and pulled out a beautiful light blue dress with sky blue, light pink, and white flowers embroidered throughout it. Her mouth pulled into a smile as she ran her hands over the layers of fabric, she hadn't worn the dress in over two years and she was excited to finally get to wear it once again. Navaheya placed the dress on the freshly made bed and went back to the wardrobe and pulled out a pair of light pink flats that matched the belt of the dress, placing them on the ground next to the bed.
She slipped the thin white dress over her head, placing it on a hanger back in the wardrobe away from all the clean clothing inside and next to the yellow dress she had worn the night before. Navaheya picked up the blue dress and slipped it over her head, she readjusted the dress and then reached behind her trying to zip up the dress on her own. The silver-haired elf remembered why she hadn't worn the dress in so long, the sipper she had sewn into the dress started much lower than she had usually sewed in, making it extremely difficult for her to zip it up on her own. After struggling for a moment zipping her dress up, she heard a quick knock on the door so she quickly went to the door and opened it a few inches. Her dress was still not zipped up and she did not want to be unladylike in a place that had always been filled with elves that had been nothing but kind to her.
She peeked out of the door and saw Lord Elrond waiting patiently for the door to be opened. Once he realized that she had opened the door slightly, a small laugh escaped his lips, "My dear Navaheya, why the shyness this morning?"
Navaheya giggled at her friend before responded, "I am having difficulty zipping my dress my lord"
Elrond sighed in amusement before moving his hand in a motion to open the door, the silver-haired woman complied and opened the door enough for the lord to walk in. She stepped back a bit as Elrond closed the door behind him.
"Aha, yes. The terrible zipper of the blue flower dress." Elrond laughed as he saw which dress she was having trouble with. He came to bring her to breakfast every single morning she stayed in Rivendell and every time she had decided to wear her blue embroidered dress, he had to help zip her up.
He made another hand motion for her to turn around and face the mirror that stood next to the wardrobe. She did what Lord Elrond was implying and faced the mirror. The older elf easily pulled the zipper of her dress up and then placed his hands on the shorter woman's shoulders. "You look beautiful, my lady," He spoke softly to her.
Elrond looked at the young elf as if she was his younger sister, he wanted to pull her under his wing and help her with everything. She was innocent in his eyes and with her mother's illness, he wanted to make her life easier in any way he possibly could.
Navaheya blushed and giggled at the compliment as she slipped out of his hands and glided over to the bed. She sat upon it and slipped her pink flats onto her feet. Elrond gestured to the balcony with his arm after her shoes were on her feet and the duo walked out of the archways.
