I still remember your brown eyes,
your back getting smaller as you disappeared in the dark,
your foot prints washed away by the wind..
you left me where we fell in love, with the memory of what had been.
there I stood,
didn't move an inch..
I waited in grief ,
as the life in me shed off piece after piece
each day you didn't show..
till there was nothing anymore
but still, I stayed, waiting.
drying in the sun, I waited.
breaking in the cold, i never left.
like a father who never gives up,
I never left.
I hope my love calls you home
Because I'm dying where life lived
