Your shadow I followed,
it's shape amused me.
Made beauty when it met with the ground you stood on.
I followed so I could feel you..
you excited the steady and quiet sands of my world, made them a rushing hurricane that pulled all my defences from the roots leaving behind a bare,
vulnerable,
ordinary,
simple girl. Me. Just me.
One thing I missed though,
it was just your shadow.
Right, so silly of me to think that what isn't real could possibly embrace what I feel
Which is more real than the rays of sunshine that no longer warm the cold rooms of my broken heart.
