"Serena? Serena, hey! Can you hear me?" Izzy's voice asked worriedly as Serena's eyes blinked open.
"Izzy?" she responded as Izzy and Simon gently helped her up from where she'd crumpled onto the floor of Jonathan's empty cell. "Where's Clary? Where's Alec and Jace?"
"Clary's gone with Jonathan. Jace and Alec are coming. Clary incapacitated them both with her runes. Are you sure you're ok?"
"Yeah, I'm sure. We have to find Clary. If they get their hands on the Morning Star Sword, this could be the end of everything as we know it."
"Serena!" called both Alec and Jace as they ran into the cell block from the elevator and Serena met them halfway, Izzy and Simon following.
Jace hugged her first, kissing her cheek before Alec let out a massive breath of relief as he held her in his arms.
"Are you ok?" Alec asked worriedly.
"I'm fine. Jonathan knocked me out, but Izzy activated my iratze. What happened?" she asked as Alec held her.
"She got the jump on us. Came up with this rune that freezes you in place. If I wasn't able to activate runes without a stele, we'd have been done for," Jace explained.
"Don't worry JJ," Serena assured him. "We'll get Clary back."
